Additional Persecution News from China – June 24, 2015 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Shanming Detained

Mr. Zhang Shanming was arrested by officers from the Zhigou Police Station on the afternoon of May 12, 2015 for posting Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) informational materials. The officers ransacked his home. He is being held in the Fanrongjie Detention Center.

2. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuling Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

He Zhigng, a judge from the Gaobeidian City Court, and police officers broke into Ms. Zhang Xiuling's home in Dingxing County and arrested her on April 16, 2015. The court subsequently sentenced Ms. Zhang to four years in prison. She was taken to the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison.

3. [Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Wang Shixian, Mr. Wang Guoyan, and Mr. Jiang Hantong from Longtan Town were arrested on the evening of March 19, 2015. They are being held in the Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County Detention Center.

The Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County Court scheduled a trial against the three practitioners for June 29, 2015.

4. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Meng Zhengfeng Detained

Ms. Meng Zhengfeng was arrested at noon on May 31, 2015 by officers from the Chengjiao Police Station in Shahejie Town led by Huang Shihua, a Security Section official for the No. 916 Geological Division. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books, materials, and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Meng was taken to the Jiujiang County Detention Center.

5. [Changning County, Hunan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ning Jinxiu, Ms. Tang Meilan, Ms. Wang Shuangfeng, Mr. Tang Bangyao, Ms. Cui Anxiu, and Mr. Shen Duanjun were arrested at the Hezhou Toll Booth when they were on their way to Changning County to tell people about Falun Gong on June 22, 2015.

6. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Diankun Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Jincheng Town Police Station went to Mr. Yang Diankun's home in Chengzi Village on the morning of June 16, 2015. They forcibly took Mr. Yang to the Dianzi Brainwashing Center.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Yan Yulan Arrested

Officers from the Tongnan County Domestic Security Division and the Tangba Town Police Station broke into Ms. Yan Yulan's home on the morning of May 25, 2015. They took her to the police station and released her that afternoon.

8. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sui Jingfang Arrested

Ms. Sui Jingfang from the Qilu Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd in Shandong was arrested on June 22, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Jiang Hanqian Detained

Mr. Jiang Hanqian was arrested by officials from the Wuhan University Security Department when he was picking up some discarded DVDs on the afternoon of June 16, 2015. He was taken to the Qingling Detention Center in the Wuchang District for 15 days of detention.

10. [Shanghai] Mr. Shen Yizhi and Mr. Qian Jimin Arrested

Mr. Shen Yizhi and Mr. Qian Jimin from the Pudong New District were arrested in early June 2015. Their whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Peng Jumei Persecuted to Death

Ms. Peng Jumei from Liantang Town was arrested and taken to the county police department by plainclothes officers when she was telling people about Falun Gong in town on May 4, 2015. She was forced to write a guarantee statement to give up practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Peng felt uncomfortable after she was released that afternoon. She died suddenly that night.

12. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shulan and Ms. Li Bolin Detained

Ms. Wang Shulan and Ms. Li Bolin were arrested on the evening of June 19, 2015 by Liu Jianpeng, head of the Yitong County Domestic Security Division, Hu Baoming, Li Fengdong, and other officers. Ms. Li is being held in the Yitong County Detention Center. Ms. Wang is being held in the Siping City Detention Center.
