Additional Persecution News from China – August 18, 2015 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

Ms. Xiong Guizhen and Ms. Ji Jianxia were arrested by officers from Houzaimen Police Station on August 16, 2015. Their whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhong Weizan, his wife Ms. Qing Ruping, and his son were arrested by officers from Ganyu District 610 Office on August 15, 2015.

3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cen Deli Arrested

Ms. Cen Deli was arrested and taken to Caihong Police Station in Liwan District on August 16, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

4. [Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hou Xiufen Detained

Ms. Hou Xiufen was arrested by officers from Liaozhong County Police Department and Liujianfang Town Police Station on July 10, 2015. She is detained at Shenyang City Detention Center.

Ms. Chen Sanling was arrested on August 2, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

6. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xueli, Mr. Sun Jianguo, and Ms. Jia Meiying were arrested and taken to Luofeng Police Station on August 13, 2015. They were later released. Ms. Zhang and Mr. Sun were each extorted 1,000 yuan.

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Yaoming Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yaoming, recently released on medical parole from Mudanjiang Prison, was arrested again by officers from the prison on August 17, 2015.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yuping Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuping was arrested by officers from Beishan Police Station on July 27, 2015. She was taken to a detention center for a 15-day detention term. The detention center refused to accept her due to her high blood pressure, as high as 200 mmHg, and arrhythmia. She was later released.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Guo Junling Arrested

Ms. Guo Junling was arrested at home by officers from Tongzhou Police Department, led by Li Dezhi from Zhangjiawan Town Police Station, on August 12, 2015. She was taken to Tongzhou District Detention Center.

10. [Fengtai County, Anhui Province] Mr. Liu Jin and Ms. Li Duofang Arrested

Mr. Liu Jin and his wife Ms. Li Duofang were arrested at home and taken to a police station on August 17, 2015. The police also ransacked their home.

11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Zhongfang Detained

Mr. Li Zhongfang was arrested on her way to Chengdu City on August 14, 2015, for bringing Falun Gong books with her. She is detained at Yibin County Supervision Center for 10 days.

Ms. Jin Yingshi, Ms. Wang Xifeng, Mr. Piao Rihua, and Li were arrested on August 10, 2015, for mailing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party. They were taken to Xicheng Brainwashing Center.
