Additional Persecution News from China – August 19, 2015 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 were illegally arrested, among which 5 were arrested for suing Jiang Zemin and the whereabouts of 1 is unknown..

1. [Ganyu County, Jiangsu Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Qin Ruping from Zhongjiahu Village, Tuowang Township was arrested by officers from the Tuowang Township Police Station on the evening of August 14, 2015.

The officers went to her home the next morning and arrested her husband Mr. Zhong Weizan and their son Mr. Zhong Panfeng.

Mr. Wang Dushan, Ms. Song Jiasi, Mr. Yu Bin, and Mr. Xie Chunyang were also arrested.

2. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Harassed

The secretary of the Zhoujiazhuang Township Political and Legal Affairs Committee and two officers from the Jinzhou City Police Department showed up at Mr. Ma Hengkui and Mr. Kang Shuanghu's homes. They demanded that each of the two practitioners and their wives write a guarantee statement that promises to give up Falun Gong, on August 13, 2015.

Officers from the Dongzhuosu Township Police Station called Mr. Zhang Jianping, Mr. Jia Jingchai, Ms. Zhang Jianqiu, Ms. Sun Meilian, Mr. Guo Xiong, Ms. Zhang Lingxiu, Ms. Cheng Yancong, Mr. Liu Junping, and Mr. Kang Yan and demanded that they come to the police station.

3. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Yunqing Arrested

Cao Shuwen and officers from the Changyi City 610 Office and three officers from the Longchi Town Police Station broke into Ms. Wei Yunqing's home in Daiqiu Village, Longchi Town and ransacked it on the afternoon of July 28, 2015. They confiscated Falun Gong books and materials. Ms. Wei was taken to the local police station. She was released the same day.

4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Prosecuted

The Qinhuai District Court held a trial against Ms. Xie Lihua, Ms. Tang Jingmei, Ms. Pan Xiaoqin, and Mr. Pan Qingning during the morning of August 17, 2015.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Liang Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Liang Xiuzhen from the Hangu District, Binhai New Area was arrested by officers from the Hangu District Police Department for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on August 11, 2015.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Yuhua Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Pan Yuhua from Xiangjia Village, Weicheng District was posting stickers about suing Jiang Zemin on August 17, 2015. Someone stopped her and called the police. The police officers dragged her into the police vehicle and her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Chen Zhiying Detained

Ms. Chen Zhiying from the Xianshuigu Town, Jinnan District was arrested at home by three officers from the Jingu Road Police Station on August 14, 2015. She is held in a detention center.

8. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qiao Ruirong Arrested

Ms. Qiao Ruirong was arrested by two officers from the Cuiping Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong on the morning of August 18, 2015.

9. [Beijing] Five Practitioners Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Officers from the Daxing District 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division, and the Police Station arrested several practitioners for filing lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.

Ms. Zheng Xianyun from Tiantanghe area was arrested by officers from the Tiangongyuan Police Station on the morning of August 14, 2015.

Ms. Liu Yuhong was arrested by officers from the Guanyinsi Police Station on the afternoon of August 14, 2014. She was given seven days of detention to be served in the Beijing City Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Junqing and Mr. Wu Dezhan were arrested by officers from the Tiangongyuan Police Station on August 16, 2015

Ms. Kang Lijun from the Lucheng area was arrested on August 16, 2015.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Guoyuan Arrested

Ms. Xiong Guoyuan, 73, was arrested by officers from the Gongcun Police Station in Qingshan District for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the afternoon of August 17, 2015. The officers searched her and her bag and found Falun Gong materials, Shen Yun Performance DVDs and keys.

They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Xiong was detained for eight hours. She was released after 11 p.m. that night.

11. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Lihua Detained

Ms. Tian Lihua, in her 40s, was arrested at home by Zhao Shisheng and several police officers on the afternoon of August 7, 2015. She is held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Qiuyan from the Fushan area was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in the area's development zone on the evening of August 17, 2015. She is held in the Jinqiao Police Station, located in the development zone.

13. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Wei Arrested

Officers from the Shibajiazi Town Police Station arrested Mr. Zhou Wei on the morning of August 18, 2015. The officers ransacked his home, which is located the in Shuiquan Village. Mr. Zhou was taken to the police station.
