(Minghui.org) In China, some government and law enforcement officials take it as their responsibility to blindly follow Jiang Zemin's policy to persecute Falun Gong. They may have never thought whether the persecution is legal or not. As time goes by, many people who were involved in the persecution have met with untimely ill fates.
While it is clear that some of the perpetrators have no heart at all, there are many more who were likely duped by Party lies. If it is indeed true that “what goes around, comes around,” and that those who have met with ill fates did so as a direct result of their past misdeeds, it really is a pity for those who have been duped into complicity.
It is not the job of government or law enforcement officials to persecute Falun Gong. The Communist Party has tricked people into believing that. Although the Communist Party tries to brainwash people so that everybody has the same thoughts, people have their own free will and their own minds to judge things. When Falun Gong practitioners tell the public what Falun Gong really is and how brutal the persecution is, many people who have the ability to tell right from wrong have made the right choice.
Many Chinese people are happy about the lawsuits against the former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin, filed by nearly 200 thousand Falun Gong practitioners. People see hope and courage. They are encouraged.
But some law enforcement officials, especially the ones at the lower levels who are still deceived by Party lies, harass practitioners who file the lawsuits.
Although practitioners explain why they file the lawsuits, and the officials may even themselves agree that Jiang should be brought to justice, the officials are still reluctant to stop persecuting Falun Gong. They say that they need to carry out their orders and fill out their reports.
It is normal to do your job. But the key question is: who are you going to report to when the persecution ends and the Communist Party is no more?
To Zhou Yongkang (the former state security chief who had a major role in persecuting Falun Gong)? Zhou Yongkang is already in jail, partially because of what he did in the persecution of Falun Gong.
To Jiang Zemin? Jiang has been sued and will soon be brought to justice.
We kindly ask Chinese police and government officials to ask themselves the following. Many of the supervisors that you report to have been sued by Falun Gong practitioners in other countries, and some of them are already in jail for various reasons. Do you want to link yourselves to them?
Falun Gong practitioners want to bring people the best. Yet we believe that good meets with good and that evil meets with evil; that this is a universal law that no one can overcome. We hope that you will make the right choice.
