(Minghui.org) More and more Chinese people are awakening to the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the brutal persecution of Falun Gong that the Party has carried out for nearly two decades. They include villagers, corporate executives, college students, and government officials.
Recently, I had a rare opportunity to visit my hometown in the countryside and came across two villagers working in the field. I approached them and handed each a copy of the Minghui magazine Hope and asked, “Hi folks, are there fellow villagers here practicing Falun Gong? Have you read Falun Gong materials before?” They both answered, “Yes.”
Then one of them said, “Falun Dafa is good. Bring Jiang Zemin to justice.” I asked, “You knew that people have brought lawsuits against Jiang Zemin?” He replied, “I know that over 200,000 cases have been filed. There need to be so many more.”
Later in the day on my way back home, I saw the villagers again. One of them asked me for more materials, so I gave them two other Minghui magazines and started talking to them about quitting CCP and its associated organizations. One of them said, “We have heard about it for quite a while now. But we never joined any CCP organizations. We were labeled as descendants of landowners by the CCP and were not allowed to get much schooling.”
When I told them about the benefits of reciting “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” they told me that they had been doing it for quite a few years already.
I used to come and go in a hurry while distributing Falun Gong materials in my hometown. I always worried about not being able to communicate with my hometown folks on a face-to-face basis. After chatting with them, I felt happy and relieved. People are well aware of the truth nowadays.
I was at a high school reunion party and got a chance to talk to a classmate who is now the CEO of a large corporation. He complained about the current political environment under CCP rule, and vented his resentment and disgust with dealing with the CCP bureaucracy. Then he said, “I am the secretary of my company's Communist Party branch. But I don't pay my membership dues at all. According to the Party rules, missing dues for six months will result in losing your membership. But who cares?”
I felt that he was ready to officially drop his CCP membership and said to him, “Then how about I help you quit the CCP now?” He said quickly, “OK. Let's do it!” I helped him draft his statement, and we then processed his announcement on the quitting the CCP website. He was relieved and proposed a toast to celebrate. I said to him, “Congratulations and cheers to your new life! You are reborn today.”
My friend then asked about what he should do about the Party membership dues in the future. I told him, “You should just continue to not pay it.”
He told me that his wife had not joined any CCP organizations, and he told his children not to join either. He also asked me to bring him truth-clarifying materials whenever they were available.
My niece is graduating college soon and preparing to take the graduate school entrance exam. Some of her classmates chose to join the CCP for the benefit of bonus points on their exam score sheets. As my niece is a member of the student union leadership, the college administration keeps pressuring her to join the CCP. However, she has long been clear about the CCP's true nature and has refused multiple times.
She once told me, “In order to join the CCP, you have to denounce Falun Gong and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Whether it is out of your true intention or not, your choice to do so makes you a bad person. Such a bad person will be among the targets to be purged when Heaven destroys the CCP. It would be foolish to join it.”
Lao San is a division head in a government office. Many of his immediate family and other relatives practice Falun Gong. He personally quit the CCP and its associated organizations online a long time ago.
Recently, the CCP demanded that all members participate in a meeting aimed at strengthening their Party loyalty. Lao San refused. After the meeting, the local Party branch ordered everyone to sign a statement swearing their loyalty. Lao San argued, “So many people are quitting the CCP now. Yet you are asking me to go in the opposite direction. I won't do it. Please go ahead and drop me from the membership. I am planning to start practicing Falun Gong.”
He was soon reported to the Party secretary of the local branch. The secretary said with resignation, “That's okay; he won't sign. Just let him be.”
