(Minghui.org) The Xihu District Procuratorate in Hangzhou City approved the arrest of Ms. Sun Liping on September 21, 2016, which indicates that she will be prosecuted. This is the third time Ms. Sun will be prosecuted for practicing Falun Gong. She was sentenced to prison after the last two arrests and incarcerated for close to 10 years for her belief.
Ms. Sun, 52, was arrested at home on August 16, 2016, by several officers from the Xihu District Domestic Security Division and the Jiangcun Police Station. The police accused Ms. Sun of, “undermining law enforcement.” This is a standard pretext used by the Chinese communist regime to illegally arrest and sentence Falun Gong practitioners.
The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, two printers, and other personal belongings. When Ms. Sun's family asked for a list of confiscated items, the police officer said, “How can we give you this?”
Ms. Sun is being held in the Hangzhou City Detention Center.
Detained and Imprisoned Multiple Times
Ms. Sun, a former medical staff member of Qiaosi Prison, has been arrested and detained many times since the Chinese communist regime began to persecute Falun Gong in July 1999.
She was taken to a brainwashing facility on July 20, 1999, by security staff from the Qiaosi Prison.
She went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong in October 2000. She was arrested and taken back to Hangzhou City, and incarcerated at Qiaosi Prison.
She was taken to a brainwashing facility located inside the Shiliping Forced Labor Camp multiple times, between 2000 and 2002. Her daughter, who was less than 10 years old, was held in the same brainwashing facility.
Ms. Sun was arrested on August 2, 2002, for mailing letters that contained Falun Gong information. She was sentenced to five years in prison.
She was arrested on July 4, 2008, for putting up Falun Gong informational stickers at a tourist attraction site and sentenced to a three-and-a-half year term by the Xihu District Court.
Monitored and Harassed
Ms. Sun was released in January 2012. She moved to Fuyuan Neighborhood in Xihu District to live with her parents. The Fuyuan Neighborhood hired her as a cleaning woman to monitor her. When Ms. Sun asked to be relieved of her post, the Party secretary and 610 Office personnel refused and threatened to take her to a brainwashing center.
Ms. Sun talked to the 610 Office personnel and officials and explained the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution, but the Fuyuan Neighborhood personnel still kept monitoring her. They also put up posters that slandered Falun Gong on the neighborhood bulletin board.
She has been constantly harassed since 2012 by personnel and officers from the Fuyuan Neighborhood, Xihu District 610 Office, and the Xihu Domestic Security Team.
The Fuyuan Neighborhood personnel installed 13 security cameras within 200 steps of Ms. Sun's apartment in early August 2016. One of them points to her apartment unit.
Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin
Ms. Sun was arrested on November 4, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese communist regime, who launched the persecution of Falun Gong.
The police ransacked her home without showing any legal documents. They took her to the Jiangcun Police Station for interrogation. She was taken to the Liangzhu Detention Center that night. When the Xihu Domestic Security Team was not able to find any evidence to prosecute her, they released her after a month.
