(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Hu Runlian Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Hu Runlian was arrested in March 2016 by plainclothes officers and taken to the Leshan City Detention Center. She was sentenced to five years in prison in July 2016 by the Leshan City Court.

Seven other practitioners are being held at the same detention center. They are Ms. Li Fengzhen, Ms. Wang Yongqing, Ms. He Xiaoling, Ms. Hu Runfang, Ms. Zhao Shuqiong, Ms. Tang Huifeng, and Ms. Tang Huiqin.

2. [Jinxiang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Qiaolan Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Qiaolan, 52, lives in Guoqilou Village, Jinxiang County. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Jinxiang County Court. She is imprisoned at Jinan Women's Prison.

Ms. Zhang was arrested at home on March 16, 2016, by officers led by Li Shenhua, deputy director of the Gaohe Street Police Station. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books, 4,400 yuan in cash, and other personal items. The court sent her family an unsigned ticket for 10,000 yuan.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Fujian in Critical Condition

Mr. Ma Fujian is being held at the Xinkang Prison Hospital. He is emaciated and has not been able to eat or even drink water for some time. He did not respond when his family called his name.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Changsheng Arrested

Mr. Zhao Changsheng of Changle County was arrested on October 9, 2016, by officers from the Qiaoguan Police Station, while he was telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Qiaoguan Town Market.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Song Chengkuai Detained

Mr. Song Chengkuai was arrested for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of October 7, 2016, by officers from the Xinan Police Station. His home was ransacked. He is held at the police station.

6. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Zengjie and Wife Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zengjie and his wife were arrested at home on October 10, 2016.

7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gu Arrested

Ms. Gu was arrested by plainclothes officers and taken to the Shenjiatun Police Station on October 10, 2016.

8. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiurong, Ms. Liu Yanru, and Ms. Wang Jinling were arrested on the afternoon of October 9, 2016, by 6 officers from the Pingquan Town Police Station, while they were reading Falun Gong books at Ms. Liu Xiurong's home. The police ransacked Ms. Liu Xiurong's home and confiscated some Falun Gong informational DVDs and pamphlets. The three practitioners were taken to the Pingquan County Security Patrol Unit, and interrogated separately. Ms. Liu Yanru and Ms. Wang were released that night. Ms. Liu Xiurong was taken to the Pingquan County Detention Center and released the next day.

10. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Haoyuan and Ms. Li Ying Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Li Haoyuan and his wife, Ms. Li Ying, have been held for more than ten months at the Development Zone Detention Center and the Yaojia Detention Center, respectively. They were tried in the Development Zone Court on June 22, 2016. They each were sentenced to three years in prison and got a 5,000-yuan fine on September 19.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xinyue Detained

Ms. Zhang Xinyue of Huanggu District was arrested for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong on October 8, 2016, by officers from the Shelita Police Station. She was taken to the Zaohua Detention Center the following day.

Mr. Wang Shoushan was arrested on October 8, 2016.

13. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Lun Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Li Lun was sentenced to three years in prison.

14. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qi Jie Detained for 15 Days

Mr. Qi Jie was arrested on the evening of September 17, 2016, by officers Gao Shuxin and Li Zhijun from the Zhanqian Police Station. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated five cell phones and 4,000 yuan in cash. Mr. Qi was detained for15 days at the Jinzhou City Detention Center, and was released on October 3, 2016.

Ms. Li Guizhen was forced to leave home due to police harassment and threat of being detained.
