(Minghui.org) A Dehui City resident wasn’t able to enjoy her newly gained freedom after being released from a 4-year prison term for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
Ms. Su Cuizhi returned home to discover that the police had taken much more valuables than they admitted after her arrest.
She demands the return of all her confiscated items and an explanation from the police as to why they lied to her.
Below is her personal account.
I had just come back home on September 24, 2011 when a group of agents showed up and broke in. They held me down and slapped me in the face when I demanded to know their identities.
They handcuffed me and didn’t allow me to call my children. They confiscated my two cell phones and my keys. They covered my head with a piece of cloth and took me to the police department. I learned then that they were agents from the local domestic security office.
The police never produced any IDs or search warrants. I had no clue of what else they took from my home besides my cell phones and keys. Three days later they showed me some pictures of confiscated items, which included some Falun Gong books, a few banknotes with Falun Gong messages, and two deposit books.
Fast forward to four years later, when I was released from prison and found out that the police had taken all of my family’s savings and other valuables. Apparently they searched my home again when no one was around.
I discovered that the following valuables were all gone:
• 13,200 yuan that my disabled husband and I saved• 16,500 yuan my youngest daughter asked me to keep for her• 16,902 yuan of cash inserted in a notebook• My second daughter’s bank deposit book she asked me to keep for her• 3 old-version 50-yuan banknotes• 1 MP5 player• 1 MP3 player• 2 flash drives• 2 computer towers• 2 printers• 4 boxes of print paper, and• 13 boxes of ink cartridges.
None of the above items was on the list of confiscated items that the police asked me to sign for. I demand the return of all my valuables and ask the police to give me an explanation of why they lied to me.
