(Minghui.org) Since the movement to sue Jiang Zemin started, the police have been arresting Falun Gong practitioners who submit lawsuits to the Supreme Procuratorate. I was also arrested.
When we got to the police station, I only had one thought:
“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts are Powerful” in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
The police chief asked me how old I was. I replied, “What crime did I commit? By law, you have to tell me.”
“Your complaint letter mentioned you had higher education,” he said. “Did you write this to sue Jiang Zemin?” He placed the documents in front of me.
“This letter was submitted to the Supreme Procuratorate,” I said. “If you want to investigate it, you need to show that you have the power of attorney from the Supreme Procuratorate; if you do not have a warrant, you are violating the law.”
I was calm. I couldn't see the battle between the good and evil in other dimensions, but I knew Master was with me. I began to tell him about a man named Mr. Zhang.
“Mr. Zhang owned a very successful flower farm in Zhanghua City in Taiwan. In August 2003, a typhoon wiped out his farm. He lost everything and was left with huge debts. He was devastated and thought he would never be able to rebuild his business. An acquaintance suggested that if he worshiped certain spirits, his business and finances would improve. He decided to give it a try. Someone else told him that he would have to swear an oath to the spirits if he wanted to get his fortune back. He said with indifference, ‘No problem. As long as my business recovers, I don’t care.’
“That night, Mr. Zhang had a dream in which he was told a series of numbers, 11-03-22-41-47-48. The next day he went out and bought a lottery ticket with those numbers. He won the first prize—more than 50 million Taiwan dollars. He paid off all his debts with the prize money and bought a new car for a million dollars.
“Not long after his streak of good luck, however, his son was killed in a car accident. His son, who was an inexperience driver, was driving the new car by himself when the tragedy took place. The accident was videotaped.
“The following day the Taiwan news media broadcast the accident. When Mr. Zhang watched the news, he was astonished by what he saw. The picture on the monitor displayed the date and time: 2003/11/03 22:41:47:48, which were the same numbers he was told in his dream. He knew it was not a coincidence. He realized that he had won the lottery in exchange for his son's life!”
(I retold this story, which I had read in the Minghui Weekly Huisheng No. 53, in my own words.)
The officer was impressed. I asked him,”Have you ever sworn an oath?” He said he hadn’t, but then I asked, “Did you join the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)?” He said he had only joined the Youth League.
“When you raised your fist and swore an oath to sacrifice your whole life for the Party, you gave your destiny to the party. Is there any difference between your oath and Mr. Zhang's oath?
“Pledging to give your life to the CCP will not bring anyone good fortune. Let me give you a pseudonym and you can invalidate the oath you made and quit your memberships in all of the CCP’s organizations.”
He said. “Yes, I want to do it.”
“You made the right choice,” I said. “I am very happy for you.”
One of the other officers in the room asked how I felt about engaging in politics.
“If someone's house is on fire and the owner is inside asleep and is not aware of the fire, if you want to save him, you would have to break the door down to get in,” I said. “Yet, by breaking down the door, you are damaging his property. If you don’t break down the door, you would just have to watch him die. Would you break down the door or not?
“Falun Gong practitioners help people understand the truth and withdraw from the Party and its organizations. It’s like breaking the door down to save the person in a burning house. Yet you arrest us.”
The other officer replied, “After hearing what you say, I have no reply.”
At the detention center, I refused to have a medical exam, have my picture taken, sign any documents, or wear the uniform. The detention center thus refused to take me. The police who brought me in and the detention center were at stalemate.
The other officer suddenly said, “Falun Gong is good.” The other officer also repeated it several times and pressed his hands together in front of his chest. Everyone there smiled.
The detention center head complained to the police head, “Why did you bring us someone who refuses to obey the rules?”
He replied, “She is one of the best.” I knew Master was encouraging me by what he said.
At the detention center, I recited Master's poem:
“Imprisoned as you are, don’t be sorrowful or sadCarry on with righteous thoughts and actions, and the Fa is with youCalmly reflect on the attachments you haveRemove your human thoughtsand evil will naturally die out”(“Don't Be Sad” inHong Yin Vol. II)
I examined myself and understood that Master used this experience to awaken me. I realized that I needed to clarify the truth in person better. Before, I would rather distribute informational materials than talk about Falun Gong and the persecution face-to-face. Even when I ran into someone I knew, I would avoid talking to them about Falun Gong. I thus lost many opportunities to save people.
Strengthened by Master, I turned the detention center into a “quitting the CCP center.” First, I told the inmates about a famous psychological test to check their state of mind. They were surprised to find the test was very accurate. Then I told them the story about Mr. Zhang and the oath he made. I followed that with facts about Falun Gong. Everyone in the cell withdrew from the Party and its organizations.
From then on, the young inmates in the cell surrounded me and listened to my stories. I told them stories of divine culture I had read on the Minghui website along with the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution.
Whenever someone new came in, the young inmates would bring them to me and say, “Listen to Auntie's stories.” During my 15 days in the detention center, a total of 19 people quit the Party.
The day I was released, the guard told me to sign the release document. I said I would not sign anything and demanded to be released unconditionally. He looked at me and said, “Then leave.”
I left the detention center with my righteous faith intact and strong.
