Additional Persecution News from China – November 13, 2016 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested.

Mr. Wang Jundian was arrested in late October 2016.

Mr. Gao Jianxin and his wife Ms. Zhang Shiyun were tried on August 4, 2016.

2. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xia Xianrong Arrested

Mr. Xia Xianrong was arrested by officers from the Gongqingtuan Road Police Station on November 12, 2016, for distributing new year calendars and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Arrests of Ms. Meng Xianglan and Ms. Meng Xiangling Approved

Ms. Meng Xianglan and Ms. Meng Xiangling were transferred to the Linyi City Detention Center on October 19, 2016. Officers from the Daigu Police Station went to their homes the next day to ask their families to sign the notice.

The police went to their homes again on October 27 and asked them to sign the arrest approval. The families refused. Both practitioners face prosecution.

4. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Xiuying Detained

Ms. Feng Xiuying was arrested at home by officers from the Gaojiadian Police Station on October 27, 2016. The police beat her. She was detained at the Nongan Detention Center for five days. She was arrested again four days after her release and beaten again. She was given a 15-day detention.

5. [Hulunbeier, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Guixin, Ms. Liu Fengzhu, and another practitioner with the last name Zhang were arrested in early November 2016.

6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Shi Hongyan and two other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Lianggang Police Station on November 10, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Yi County Detention Center.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Bai Guiyin Sentenced

Mr. Bai Guiyin was sentenced to a three-year-and-six-month prison term on November 10, 2016.

8. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Shengjiang and Ms. Lu Hongxiu Arrested

Mr. Tang Shengjiang and his wife Ms. Lu Hongxiu were arrested at home by twenty-four officers from the Anju District Domestic Security Division and the Dongchan Police Station on November 2, 2016. The police confiscated several Falun Gong informational DVDs and other personal belongings. They were taken to the local police station and released an hour later.

Ms. Wu Xianxiu's home was ransacked that afternoon.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Ma Detained

Mr. Ma was arrested by officers from the Jiujiang Town Police Station on November 3, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at the Shuangliu District Detention Center in Chengdu City.

10. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Ying Arrested

Ms. Liu Ying was arrested and taken to Wujiaochang Police Station on November 11, 2016. She was detained for approximately six hours. While being detained, she was threatened, intimidated, and tricked into making a confession, by officers from the Domestic Security Division.

11. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guijun and Ms. Li Xinhua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guijun and Ms. Li Xinhua were arrested by officers from Huanren County on November 6, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were released that afternoon.

12. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xin Suren Detained

Mr. Xin Suren was arrested on November 11, 2016, and is being held at the Tiexi Detention Center.

13. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Xie Yufang and Ms. Zhao Yufang Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xie Yunfang and Ms. Zhao Yufang were arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on November 9, 2016.

14. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Jiang Li Arrested

Ms. Jiang Li was arrested by Chengdu police on November 11, 2016. The police confiscated her computer and other personal belongings.

15. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Jie Arrested

Mr. Jiang Jie was arrested by officers from the Daxing Town Police Station on November 11, 2016.
