(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 were illegally arrested.

1. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Fengli Tortured on Tiger Bench

Ms. Li Fengli, Mr. Yu Changyong, and Ms. Cao Suqin, from Zhoujia Village, were arrested and taken to the Jianyi Police Station on the evening of July 30, 2016.

Ms. Li was restrained on a tiger bench while she was interrogated by the director. After being tied to the tiger bench for three hours both of her feet turned purple and blue and she was unable to walk.

Mr. Yu was taken to the Dashiqiao Detention Center for 15 days of detention after being held one day and one night in the police station.

Ms. Li and Ms. Cao were taken to the Yingkou City Detention Center. Ms. Cao was released that day after her systolic blood pressure was measured at 230 during the physical exam. Ms. Li was detained for 15 days.

Ms. Zhou Cui'e was sent to a brainwashing center in late September 2016.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Xuejun Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wang Xuejun, an employee with the Geological Brigade, No. 10 Oil Production Plant, Daqing Oil Field, was arrested by Li Guocai, deputy head of the No. 10 Oil Production Plant's 610 Office and others at noon on October 12, 2016. He was taken to the Qieryi Brainwashing Center.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xi Yahong, Mr. Wang Laosan, Mr. Yu, Yu's wife, the driver, and a practitioner surnamed Liu, went to Xin'an Township to talk to people about Falun Gong on the evening of October 12, 2016. They were arrested and two of their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Yin Limei was arrested at work on the morning of October 13, 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhu Hua and Ms. Li Shuqing Sentenced to Prison

The Pudong New Area Court held a trial again on the morning of October 13, 2016. Ms. Zhu Hua was given a one-year-and-six-month prison term, and Ms. Li Shuqing a two-year-and-ten-month prison term.

7. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Ms. Hou Yuanping Detained

Ms. Hou Yuanping was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of October 13, 2016. She is being held in the Jiyuan City Detention Center. It was reported that she was given a three-year prison term.

8. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Guiying Arrested

Ms. Li Guiying, 81, was arrested on October 13, 2016 by officers from the Shahai Police Station, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Lihua Arrested

Liu Caijun, Xing Xiaomin, and other officers from the Domestic Security Division showed up at Ms. Wang Lihua's workplace on the morning of October 13, 2016. They confiscated two Falun Gong books and arrested Ms. Wang. The officers ransacked her home that afternoon. They confiscated over 40 copies of Falun Gong books, seven music players, and cash. They then ransacked Ms. Wang's mother's home and confiscated a desktop calendar. Ms. Wang was released that evening at around six o’clock.

10. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tai Lijuan Arrested, Home Ransacked

Ms. Tai Lijuan was arrested and her home ransacked.

11. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Zhenlian Arrested

Ms. Li Zhenlian, 66, was arrested on September 23, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Beifang Arrested

Ms. Li Beifang was arrested on October 9, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

13. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shuhe Detained

Four or five officers led by Xie Xiaofei, director of the Datun Town Police Station, broke into Ms. Zhang Shuhe's home and arrested her on the morning of October 14, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the police station, and then to the Hengshui City Detention Center.

14. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Surnamed Zhou Arrested

A practitioner surnamed Zhou was reported and arrested by Zhang Decai, director of the Baohe Neighborhood Administration Office, on the morning of October 13, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

15. [Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guixiang Beaten in Yingkou Detention Center

Ms. Wang Guixiang was arrested by officers from the Gangdu Police Station, Dashiqiao City, on the evening of June 28, 2016. The officers took her home, ransacked the place, and confiscated Falun Gong books. Ms. Wang is being held in the Yingkou Detention Center, where she has been beaten numerous times.

16. [Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shang Chun Detained

Ms. Shang Chun is being held in the Yingkou Detention Center.

17. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Yunjiao Taken to Masanjia Prison

Ms. Guo Yunjiao, 64, was arrested at home by four officers from the Dashiqiao Police Department on June 22, 2016. She was taken to the Masanjia Prison on August 15, 2016.

Ms. Guo was arrested in 2012 for distributing Falun Gong materials, and sentenced to forced labor for one year. She was released on bail for heart problems.

18. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dong Yumei Arrested

Ms. Dong Yumei was arrested on October 13, 2016.

19. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Song Riping Arrested

Mr. Song Riping was arrested at home on the afternoon of October 11, 2016.

20. [Jinsha County, Guizhou Province] Ms. Huang Linai and Ms. Cao Qianrong Detained

Ms. Huang Linai, 53, was lured to the Chengdong Police Station and arrested there on October 10, 2016. Ms. Cao Qianrong, in her seventies, was arrested on the same day. Both practitioners are being held in the Jinsha County Detention Center. No family visits have been allowed.

21. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huan Jingxia Detained

Ms. Huan Jingxia from Jianping County was followed and arrested at home on the morning of June 28, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and 1,000 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them. She was taken to the Wanshou Police Station, and then to the Chaoyang City Detention Center. Her case has been transferred to the Jianping County Procuratorate.

22. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Guangxiang Arrested

Ms. Chen Guangxiang from Qianliutun Village, Xiaoying Village, was arrested at her home by staff from the Zhuanghe City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and officers from the Guangmingshan Police Station on the morning of October 13, 2016. She was taken to the Dalian City Legal Education School for brainwashing.

23. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Meifang Arrested and Extorted

Officers from the Pingdu City 610 Office broke into elderly Ms. Liu Meifang's home in Qianjiazhuang Village, Malan Town, at noon on October 10, 2016. They questioned Ms. Liu about her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong.

They subsequently called Malan Police Station police to come and ransack Ms. Liu's home. They confiscated Falun Gong books and arrested Ms. Liu. She was released after her family was forced to pay 5,000 yuan in cash.

24. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xianqiu and Mr. Guo Wancai Arrested

Ms. Liu Xianqiu and Mr. Guo Wancai, from Zhuqiao Town, were arrested by officers from the Yidao Town Police Station on October 9, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Both practitioners were taken by officers from the Laizhou City Domestic Security Division.

25. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Tianyou Detained

Ms. Yang Tianyou was arrested on September 28, 2016. She is being held in the No. 4 Detention Center which is affiliated with the Changsha City No. 1 Detention Center.
