(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 were illegally arrested.

Mr. Ma Zhenzhong was arrested on December 8, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. His whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yumei Arrested

Ms. Liu Yumei, 54, was arrested and taken to the Hexing Police Station by four police officers on December 9, 2016. Her boss, the store owner, was also called to the police station for questioning. The officers confiscated over 2,000 yuan in cash from the owner and took the store's surveillance device.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Jixiang Arrested

Mr. Guo Jixiang was arrested by officers from the Mingyang Police Station on December 7, 2016.

4. [Pucheng County, Fujian Province] Mr. Wei Zijing and Ms. Lin Aizhu Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wei Zijing was sentenced to one and a half years in prison, and Ms. Lin Aizhu to one year and three months. They were tried by the Pucheng County Court on November 30, 2016.

5. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Four practitioners were sentenced to prison by the Kuancheng County Court on December 7, 2016.

Mr. Chen Lixin was sentenced to five years in prison. Ms. Yang Lixin, Ms. Li Youju, and Ms. Du Fengqin were each sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hu Yuekun Detained

Mr. Hu Yuekun was arrested at work by officers from the Criminal Police Team from the Longfeng Police Department on December 1, 2016. He is being held in the Daqing City No. 1 Detention Center.

7. [Tianjin] Mr. Wu Dianzhong Detained

Mr. Wu Dianzhong was arrested at home on December 7, 2016. He is being held in the Xiqing District Detention Center.

8. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Dong Youshun Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Dong Youshun was sentenced to one and a half years in prison.

9. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Quan Zhonglu Arrested

Mr. Quan Zhonglu, in his seventies, was arrested by officers from the Jiangong Police Station on the afternoon of December 10, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Tienan area.

10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Li Yizhe Arrested

Mr. Li Yizhe, an associate professor at the Nanguang College of Communication, University of China, was arrested in the dorm on December 8, 2016. His whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Qiu Hunan (in her seventies), Mr. Tang Guangwei (nearly 70), Ms. Shan Lizhen (nearly 70), Ms. Cao Shizhen (in her seventies), and Mr. Yan Qixiang (in his seventies) from Chenggong District were arrested and their homes were ransacked on December 8, 2016.

Mr. Tang's whereabouts are unknown. The other four were released on bail.

12. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qu Shu'e and Ms. Tao Zunqiao Detained

Ms. Qu Shu'e and Ms. Tao Zunqiao, from Beixian Village, Longquan Town, were arrested by officers from the Longquan Town Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Longquan Town Farmers Market on December 9, 2016. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners are being held in the Muping District Detention Center for 12 days of detention.

13. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhu Gang Arrested

Mr. Zhu Gang was arrested on December 2, 2016.

14. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Hongju Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhang Hongju was recently sentenced to four years and three months in prison.

15. [Tianjin] Mr. Yu Guirong and Wife Ms. Liu Derong Arrested

Mr. Yu Guirong and his wife Ms. Liu Derong, from the Xihengdi area, Nankai District, were arrested on December 7, 2016. The entrance to their home is now being monitored.

16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yanping Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Yanping from Sanshilipu Town, Jinzhou District, was arrested on June 28, 2016. She was sentenced to four years in prison by the Jinzhou District Court on October 20. She has been taken to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City.

17. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ji Chunling Sentenced to Six Years in Prison

Ms. Ji Chunling was given a six-year prison term. She was taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison on December 6.

18. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Yanhua Transferred to Shenyang Prison

Mr. Ma Yanhua has been transferred to the No. 1 Ward of Shenyang Prison.

19. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xu Chuanli Detained

Mr. Xu Chuanli was arrested by officers from the Mazhuang Police Station on the afternoon of December 8, 2016, for distributing Falun Gong materials. He was taken to a detention center.

20. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chen Mou, Ms. Liang Yuping, Ms. He Suzhi, Ms. Xu Tian'e, Ms. Guo Zhilin, Ms. Cai Jinhua, and Ms. Tang Youfang from Zhuolu County were arrested by officers from the Zhuolu County Police Department's Domestic Security Division and the Dapu Town Police Station on the morning of December 4, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Dadingsi Village, Dapu Town. They were taken to the Dapu Town Police Station.

Five female practitioners were later taken to the Shisanli Detention Center for ten days of detention. The center refused to admit Ms. Xu, Ms. Guo, and Ms. Tang because they failed the required physical exams. The three practitioners were taken back to the Domestic Security Division.

Mr. Chen was taken to the Zhuolu County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.
