Fujian Teacher Files Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin for His Wife's Death and His Persecution

February 07, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent from Fujian Province, China

(Minghui.org) A middle-school teacher from Fujian Province filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, for his wife's death and his persecution. He mailed his lawsuits to the Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate on September 6, 2015.

Ms. Bu Liping Died Due to Torture

Mr. Peng's wife, Ms. Bu Liping, was given a two year forced labor sentence after her arrest in January 2006, for not giving up Falun Gong, a peaceful cultivation practice. She was tortured while in the labor camp, including being brutally force-fed, sexually abused, and injected with unknown drugs.

She returned home extremely weak after her release. She suffered memory loss, and became mentally disoriented.

The local 610 Office nonetheless tried to arrest her again in May 2012. She left her home and went into hiding for two days. She suffered tremendously physically and mentally. Her health deteriorated, and she passed away at the age of 54, on December 17, 2012.

Mr. Peng's Ordeal: Two Detentions and Torture

Mr. Peng was arrested on June 5, 2001, and interrogated at the Jian'ou Police Department for three days and nights, while being brutally beaten. The police kicked and punched him. One officer grabbed his hair and slammed his head against the wall. His body was covered with bruises. He was then taken to a detention center and released 22 days later.

He was arrested again on June 8, 2006, and taken to the Pucheng County Teacher Training School. The police first beat him, then handcuffed his hands to a railing with his feet barely touching the ground. He was tortured this way for eight days and nights. He was close to losing consciousness when he was released from this torture, with swollen hands and feet. He was released on bail until his trial.

Mr. Peng was given two years of forced labor in August 2006 and taken to the Rujiang Rehabilitation Center. He was forced to attend daily brainwashing sessions. When he refused to cooperate, he was confined to a solitary cell and forced to sit on a small stool for extended periods of time.

He was transferred to the Shuitou Forced Labor Camp on November 1, 2007. He and other practitioners were tortured in that camp. Torture methods included beatings, electric shock, and solitary confinement. When practitioners held hunger strikes to protest the maltreatment, they were brutally force-fed and deprived of sleep.

Mr. Peng was released on September 9, 2008, one month after his term expired. Upon returning to work, he was demoted, and his salary cut by 60 percent.

Background

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
