(Minghui.org) As soon as I read the Minghui editorial “Notice to Stop Distributing All Mainland China-only Editions of Shen Yun DVDs,” I destroyed all of the DVD's in my possession without hesitation. Why? Because I'd learned a hard lesson from failing to follow Master's instructions in the past.
Master said,
“It is not that Minghui Net does not make mistakes, however, on important matters, practitioners must pay attention to the attitude of Minghui Net.” (“Notice: A Second Authentic New Article of Master Li Since July 22, 1999 Will Be Published in a Few Days”)
I was heavily involved in a project three years ago to make phones calls to let people know about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I followed the security requirement published on the Minghui website at first, taking out my cell phone battery after a certain amount of call time and moving to another location to continue calling.
However, I started to do things differently as time passed and grew a strong desire to prove that I was right. I made all my phone calls from my home and told my team members to do the same. Even though some practitioners reminded me to follow Minghui's instruction, I replied, “You wouldn't be able to get it done following Minghui's instruction. Don't worry about it. Just use your righteous thoughts.”
All the members of our team eventually made phone calls from our homes. Six months later we were arrested when we were studying the Fa together.
Even though we don't know how the police found us, I knew that failing to follow Master's words and Minghui's instruction had to be the reason.
I should have looked within and learned my lesson after I was released, but I didn't. When Minghui published instructions on how to solve the problem of expired Windows XP on our computers, I ignored it and continued to use XP to access Dafa websites online. Before I knew it, my mailbox was hacked.
Right after I sent confirmation of my criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party, to Minghui, a policeman called me to verify that I had sent out my lawsuit overseas with the exact time of my email.
I told the officer about the persecution. With Master's protection, he didn't take any further action against me.
I learned from these incidents that we must follow Master's words and absolutely shouldn't insist on our own way. Master is working hard to protect us. If we don't listen to him, we are working against Master. Our cultivation would be ruined.
Master said,
“...no one intends for your cultivation to be a success and no one is giving thought to how your cultivation goes. The old forces want only to complete what they want to see completed, and that’s it. And as for those who are carrying out the specifics, inflicting harm, and playing negative roles, they want to bring you down and to ruin this affair, as they don’t know how this affair is going to conclude. Evil is just evil, after all. Master is the only one who is steering your cultivation toward consummation; Master is the only one truly doing so.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference”)
