(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Eight Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Chi Lingxin, Mr. Zhou Congbo, Ms. Song Xiulan, Ms. Chen Weifeng, Ms. Chen Lian, Ms. Yuan Fenmei, Ms. Wang Huanxiu, and Ms. Lin Lianghua were arrested when they were hanging banners with information about Falun Gong in the countryside on April 24, 2015. They were taken to a detention center. They were sentenced to prison on November 30, 2015.

Mr. Chi Lingxin, Mr. Zhou Congbo, and Ms. Song Xiulan were each sentenced to four years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. Ms. Chen Weifeng, Ms. Chen Lian were each sentenced to three years with five years' probation and fined 5,000 yuan. Ms. Yuan Fenmei was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan. Ms. Wang Huanxiu was sentenced to two years with four years' probation and fined 2,000 yuan. Ms. Lin Lianghua was sentenced to two years with three years' probation and fined 2,000 yuan.

2. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Fan Yongcheng Harassed

About twelve officers from the Ningyuanbao Town Police Station tore up the couplet which was hung on the door of Mr. Fan Yongcheng's home on the morning of February 17, 2016. They took three neighbors to the police station to question them about where the couplets came from. They were not released until that night.

3. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Ren Xiaoqing Detained

Mr. Ren Xiaoqing was surrounded by five plainclothes officers as soon as he stepped out of his home on the morning of March 1, 2016. The officers ransacked his home. He was taken to the Xiaodian District No. 2 Detention Center that evening.

4. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Gao Hui, Mr. Tang Zhongzhen, and Ms. Li Yanjiao from the Baodi District were arrested by officers from the Baoping Police Station on March 1, 2016. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated computers, among other items. The three practitioners are being held in the Baodi Detention Center.

5. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yin Zhuting Forced to Quit Job

Mr. Yin Zhuting was forced to quit his job after he sued Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Chi Yufeng Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Chi Yufeng was arrested at her home on February 26, 2016. She was taken to the Lannigou Brainwashing Center.

7. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Hong and Ms. Geng Junhua Taken to Prison

The Jianhua Court sentenced Ms. Chen Hong to five years in prison and Ms. Geng Junhua to three years. Both practitioners were taken to the Harbin Women's Prison on the morning of March 2, 2016.

8. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xuejuan and Ms. Zhao Shuling Arrested

Ms. Li Xuejuan from Lijialou Village in Heluo Town was arrested on the morning of March 1, 2016. Ms. Zhao Shuling from the same village was also arrested on the following morning.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zou Mingli, Ms. Yang Lihua, and Ms. Li Jianqun were arrested when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 1, 2016. Ms. Zou's home was ransacked. Ms. Yang is held in the Qiaokou Brainwashing Center.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jiaqi and Ms. Zhao Jinying Detained

Officers from the Shunhua Road Police Station in the Gaoxin District arrested Ms. Zhang Jiaqi (in her 50s) at work on January 26, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. They also ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Jinan City No. 3 Detention Center for 10 days of detention.

Ms. Zhao Jinying, in her 60s, was also arrested for suing Jiang and taken to the Jinan No. 3 Detention Center on the same day for a term of 10 days. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books and other belongings were seized.

11. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shan Yuqi Arrested

Ms. Shan Yuqi was arrested in the dormitory of the company where she works in Yantai City by officers from the Biguo Police Station of Zhaoyuan City on the morning of March 2, 2016. She was taken to Zhaoyuan City.

12. [Lintao County, Gansu Province] Mr. Sang Chengzhou's Home Ransacked

Mr. Sang Chengzhou was doing farm work at home on the morning of March 2, 2016. Ma Zhencheng, deputy director of the Xintian Police Station, and three officers broke into his home and took Falun Gong books.

13. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Shouyu Sentenced to Prison

The Laizhou City Court held a hearing against Mr. Sun Shouyu on February 3, 2016 but announced no verdict. Recently, the court delivered the verdict to Mr. Sun in the Laizhou City Detention Center. Mr. Sun was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

14. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Over Ten Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Zhang Wenling, Mr. Liang Yanqing, Mr. Fu Maoling, and about twelve other practitioners were harassed by five or six other officers led by Wang Zhibao, deputy head of the Dongchangfu District 610 Office, on the morning of March 1, 2016.

15. [Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Feng Xinxiang Detained

Four officers from the Fufeng County Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Feng Xinxiang's curtain shop and arrested him in Fufeng County at noon on March 1, 2016. The officers handcuffed one of his wrists when they were taking him from the second floor shop, which is located in the Feifeng Building,.

When Mr. Feng's young son went to the Chengguan Police Station to ask about his dad's situation, he was beaten by four or five police officers. The child was released at 10 p.m. after the officers extorted 500 yuan from the family.

On March 2, the family learned that Mr. Feng was being held in the Xinqu Criminal Police Division.

16. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Peng Lumei, Ms. Wang Guilan, Mr. Wang Sheng, and Mr. Li Xianqi were arrested by officers from the Caidian District Police Department in Wuhan City on February 24, 2016. Mr. Wang and Mr. Li are held in the Caidian District Detention Center. Ms. Peng and Ms. Wang are held in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

17. [Qionghai City, Hainan Province] Ms. Feng Yan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Feng Yan from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested at Qionghai City, Hainan Province on the morning of March 1, 2016. She is held in the Haikou City Brainwashing Center.

18. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xiuzhi and Ms. Wang Hongzhi Arrested

Ms. Lu Xiuzhi from Zhangjia Village in Zhuqiao Town and Ms. Wang Hongzhi from Majia Village were arrested by officers from the Pinglidian Town Police Station when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of February 29, 2016. Both returned home that afternoon.

19. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Li Kaihui Arrested

Mr. Li Kaihui from Huizhou City, Guangdong Province was arrested at his workplace in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province by local police.
