(Minghui.org) A petition in support of the lawsuits being filed against former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin was passed around at a wedding, and everyone started talking about it. Some signed the petition with their real names.
Since last May, more than 200,000 people have filed criminal complaints against the former dictator for launching the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999. More and more non-practitioners are now signing the petitions in support of bringing Jiang to justice.
A retired driver used to watch NTD television programs on DVD, which were downloaded by breaking through the internet firewall. He often tells his friends about the crimes Jiang Zemin has committed. When he saw the petition, he didn't hesitate to sign it with his real name and put his fingerprint on it.
He told others at the wedding that Jiang was responsible for the crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. He said that history would condemn him, and that anyone with a conscience should report him.
An older woman overheard what he said and added, “I know that Jiang Zemin persecutes Falun Gong and is responsible for organ harvesting. Jiang is an evildoer. I will sign with my real name, even if I am sentenced because of it. I am not afraid.”
When another woman who had been listening was asked to sign the petition, she said, “I haven't read the Falun Gong books, but I know some people who practice Falun Gong, and they are good people. Jiang's crimes mean that he will not come to a good end. I believe that doing good will be rewarded, and doing evil will be punished. So many people have signed their names. Let me sign it, too.”
Just after she had signed, a man came over to her and said, “What are you doing? You dare to report Jiang Zemin?” She replied, “Why not?”
A retired man who used to work in the judiciary said, “If Jiang is arrested, China will experience a huge change. It is great that people are signing the petition to report him. Moral values are deteriorating in China, but Falun Gong teaches Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, which is good for us all.”
About 525 people signed the petition to report Jiang Zemin in our area before it was sent to the Procuratorate.
Some people also took blank petition forms home to ask others to sign them.
