Additional Persecution News from China – February 27, 2016 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Ye Cuiping Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Ms. Ye Cuiping from the Haidian District was secretly sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison. She was transferred from the detention center to an unknown location. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Xiaohe and Daughter Ms. Li Xiaoxiao Detained

Ms. Li Xiaohe and her daughter Ms. Li Xiaoxiao from the Nankai District were arrested on February 5, 2016. Both practitioners are held in the Nankai Detention Center.

3. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chang Detained

Ms. Chang was arrested at home on February 23, 2016. She is held in the Handan Administrative Detention Center.

4. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qian Xiuyun Detained; Ms. Zhang Chaoying and Mr. Han Chunhua Released on Bail

Ms. Qian Xiuyun and Ms. Zhang Chaoying were arrested at the Liaocheng Train Station by officers from the Railway Police Station on October 16, 2015. Officers from the Domestic Security Division ransacked their homes and confiscated a computer, a printer, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and over 4,000 yuan in cash. Ms. Qian's husband Mr. Han Chunhua were also arrested.

Ms. Qian is held in the Jining City Detention Center. Ms. Zhang and Mr. Han were released on bail, but they are still being harassed.

5. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hou Juanjuan Detained

Ms. Hou Juanjuan was transferred to the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center by officers from the Train Station Police Station.

6. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhu Shuchun and Wife Ms. Huang Daoying Detained

Mr. Zhu Shuchun and his wife Ms. Huang Daoying were arrested at home by Zhang Jianjiang and other officers from the Beijing Road Police Station in the Qinghe District on February 18, 2016. The couple are being held in the Huai'an City Detention Center.

7. [Jiedong County, Guangdong Province] More than Twenty Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yang Zhuangkai, his daughter, Ms. Xu Ruimiao, A'jian, A'jian's wife, a female practitioner named A'feng, from Yunlu Town, and over 20 practitioners from Yunfu City and Foshan City were arrested by officers from the Jiedong County Police Department and the local police stations on the morning of February 25, 2016. Their homes were ransacked.

8. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Chunying Arrested

Ms. Guo Chunying from Chengshan Town was arrested by Wang Xiaohui, Tang Lei, and other officers from the Chengshan Border Police Station when they were distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of February 26, 2016. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Taoyuan Police Station in the Hexi District broke into Ms. Wang Shulan's home and arrested her on the morning of December 5, 2015. They confiscated all her Falun Gong books and a computer. Ms. Wang was detained for 15 days.

Ms. Zhang Yuli was arrested at home by officers from the Tucheng Police Station in the Hexi District on December 7, 2015. Her home was ransacked. She was detained for 15 days. Practitioner Dong Xuexiu was arrested on the same day by officers from the Youyi Road Police Station in the Hexi District. She was detained for 15 days.

10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Shuyun Detained

Ms. Li Shuyun from the Nangang District was arrested by the police in early February 2016 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was taken to the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Shufen Detained

Ms. Zhang Shufen from Shenjiaying Town in Yanqing County was arrested by officers from the local police station on February 24, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. Shen was taken to a detention center for 15 days of detention.

12. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zhang Guangsheng and several other practitioners were arrested by the police when they were hanging Falun Gong informational banners in early February 2016. They are held in the Qiqihar City Detention Center.

Ms. Ru Hongwei, Mr. Deng Qingshan, Ms. Cheng Yuhua, Ms. Kou Yaqin, and Ms. Kou Lanfang were arrested by the police when they were sending aloft sky lanterns with Falun Gong messages on them, on February 22, 2016. Mr. Deng is held in the Fuyu County Detention Center. The female practitioners are being held in the Qiqihar City Detention Center.

13. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Weng Yuzhi Arrested

Ms. Weng Yuzhi, from Jiushe Village, Yangmu Township, the Qinghe District, was arrested by two officers from the Yangmu Township Police Station when she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of February 26, 2016. She was taken to the police station.
