(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 35 were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Xiaoyan Arrested

Ms. Lu Xiaoyan from Huji Town was arrested at the Jingmen Railway Station on the afternoon of January 29, 2016, when she was identified as a Falun Gong practitioner at the security checkpoint. Her resident identification card and ticket to Shanghai, where she was going to stay with her son for the New Year, were confiscated. Police searched her, seized four Falun Gong books, a Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party CD, two 8G USB drives, and two MP3 players, but did not provide any receipt for the confiscated items. Jingmen Domestic Security Division was notified. Officers from Zhongxiang City and agents from the community committee took Ms. Lu from the station. She was released that night.

2. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Luo Jun and Ms. Chen Guangyun Sentenced

Mr. Luo Jun was recently sentenced to five years and and Ms. Chen Guangyun to four years.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Ms. Lan Lijie and Others

Ms. Lan Lijie was arrested at Sujiatun on June 25, 2015. Police ransacked her home. Several practitioners, including her sister Ms. Lan Lihua, were arrested that day and were detained for nine months. Ms. Lan's other sister, a non-practitioner, was arrested and released that day.

Ms. Lan Lijie and another practitioner were tried on March 17, 2016, in the Sujiatun District Court.

When Ms. Lan Lihua's family was called to the hospital to sign for her physical exam several months ago, they saw that she was shackled and emaciated.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Wenli Arrested

Ms. Wei Wenli of the Zhongshan District was arrested on the afternoon of March 24, 2016, by Renminlu Police Station officers, who ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books. Her family went to the police station at midnight and were told she was incarcerated at the Jinjiajie Drug Rehab Center.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong province] Ms. Sun Yanchun Suspected of Being Arrested

Ms. Sun Yanchun from Qianqikuang in the Laishan District disappeared after she went out to talk to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market on March 26, 2016. It is believed she was arrested.

6. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Persecution of Ms. Guo Minqing

Ms. Guo Minqing was arrested on March 21, 2016, while she was talking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her parents' home twice.

7. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shuwen Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuwen was arrested on the morning of March 28, 2016, by officers from the Baota Police Station for suing Jiang Zemin. The officers ransacked her home.

8. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Jiang Suzhen Detained

Ms. Jiang Suzhen from Caochang Village, Duqiao Town, was arrested on the afternoon of March 23, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was first held in the Duqiao Town Police Station by officers led by a deputy director. She is now incarcerated at the Hengshui City Detention Center.

9. [Chongqing] Mr. Deng Liping Was Harassed

Five officers, including Wang Guojiang, from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division found Mr. Deng Liping and demanded he sign a Criminal Suspect Rights and Obligations Information Sheet on the afternoon of March 24, 2016. Mr. Deng refused.

10. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Peng Fengyun Detained for 24 Hours

Ms. Peng Fengyun and an eight-month-old baby in her care were taken to the Yuguantun Police Station on October, 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. They were released after being detained for 24 hours.

11. [Ningxia] Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners

Practitioners imprisoned in Yinchuan Prison: Mr. Ma Xiongde was sentenced to seven and a half years; Mr. Sun Jianfeng, five and a half years; Mr. You Haijun, three and a half years; and Mr. Ding Gan to three years.

Practitioners imprisoned in Ningxia Women's Prison: Ms. Zheng Fengying was sentenced to seven years; Ms. Mo Huiping, four years; Ms. Luo Xinping to four years.

Ms. Hu Hong was sentenced to four years and is in the Qinghai Province Prison.

Mr. Wang Fugui and Ms. Hu Julian were each sentenced to four years and are in Xinjiang Prison.

Mr. Hu Jianchai was arrested in May 2015 and taken to the Qinghai Province. His whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Zhao Yuhu was arrested in December 2014. He has been incarcerated at the Yongning County Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Sumei was arrested in December 2014 and has been incarcerated at the Yinzhou Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Xueyan was arrested in November 2015. Mr. Chen Cheng was arrested in December 2015. They have been incarcerated in the Wuzhong City Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Desheng and Mr. Dan Jining were arrested in November 2015. Mr. Sun Lei was arrested in December 2015. They have been incarcerated in the Shizhuishan City No. 1 Detention Center.

Wuzhong City practitioners Mr. Gao Jianping, Ms. Wei Ningju, and Ms. Wu Jinlan, as well as Yinchuan City practitioners Ms. Jiang Hongying and Ms. Wang Xiangyu, were released on bail.

12. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Chen Guizhen and Ms. Li Fazhen arrested

Ms. Chen Guizhen and Ms. Li Fazhen were arrested on the morning of March 28, 2016, by officers from the Dongchuan District Domestic Security Division. They were taken to the Xincun Police Station.

Ms. Xu Guozhen and Ms. Sun Lu of Jiangning Province were arrested by Ningan No. 1 Police Station officers for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Sun was taken to Mudanjiang City Detention Center. Ms. Xu was released that night.

14. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Additional Persecution News about Mr. Wang Yongqing

Mr. Wang Yongqing and his wife were arrested on the morning of March 9, 2016. Officers broke into their home and kicked him to the ground. His wife was released, but Mr. Wang is incarcerated at the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center.

15. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Dongmei Arrested for the Second Time

Ms. Li Dongmei was arrested at home in the early morning hours of March 27, 2016. Three officers from the Caihong Police Station ransacked her home and seized her computer, cell phone, and Falun Gong fliers. They took her away without letting her change clothes. Her family went to the police station to ask about her that evening, and were told she was subjected to 15 days of detention and was being held in a detention center.

This is the second time Ms. Li has been arrested for suing Jiang Zemin. She was arrested at the end of December 2015 and detained for 10 days.

16. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] About 20 Practitioners Arrested or Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

Agents and officers from the Muping District 610 Office, Domestic Security Division, and police stations harassed about 20 practitioners during the last two weeks of March 2016 after they sued Jiang Zemin. Some of them were arrested.

Ms. Sun, in her 50s, from Yuhezhuang Village, Gaoling Town, was incarcerated at the Muping District Detention Center by Gaoling Town Police Station officers. It was said she would be detained for five days.

Ms. Sun Shuling, in her 60s, from Dongshangxitou Village, Dayao Town, was incarcerated at the Muping District Detention Center by Dayao Town Police Station officers. It was said she would be detained for 15 days.

Ms. Zhou Lian, in her 40s, from Wangjiabo Village, Jianggezhuang Town, was incarcerated at the Muping District Detention Center by Jianggezhuang Town Police Station officers. It was said she would be detained for 15 days.
