Additional Persecution News from China – April 9, 2016 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 were illegally arrested.

11. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. He Shaohua Sentenced

1. [Beijing] Ms. Yin Guiqin and Ms. Dong Xiurong Detained

Ms. Yin Guiqin was arrested by officers from the Lixian Police Station on April 4, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Dong Xiurong was also arrested. Both practitioners are detained at Tuanhe Detention Center in Daxing District.

2. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Ruixi and Mr. Peng Huisheng Arrested

Mr. Li Ruixi and Mr. Peng Huisheng were arrested in Zhaoqing City on April 6, 2016.

3. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Zhenfang Detained

Mr. Zhou Zhenfang was arrested by officers from the Douhutun Police Station on April 7, 2016. He was detained at Liaocheng Detention Center for 10 days.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Yuanjun Detained

Ms. Liu Yuanjun, 60, was arrested by officers from the Liqizhuang Police Station on March 7, 2016. She is detained at the Xiqing District Detention Center.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Guixia Detained

Ms. Liu Guixia was arrested on March 9, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. She was detained at the Tongzhou District Detention Center for one month and then transferred to Dagaocun Brainwashing Center.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Huang Baotian and Ms. Lu Fenglan Detained

Mr. Huang Baotian and his wife Ms. Lu Fenglan were arrested and taken to Kailuan Police Department on April 3, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were later taken to Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center. Ms. Lu began vomiting and developed other abnormal physical conditions as a result of being persecuted.

7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Baohua Detained

Mr. Li Baohua was arrested by officers from the Jinzhou City Police Department in late March 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is detained at Jinzhou City Detention Center.

8. [Xinzheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Shang Limin and Mr. Zhao Liuzhu Arrested

Ms. Shang Limin and Mr. Zhao Liuzhu were arrested by plainclothes officers from Chengjiao Police Station on April 3, 2016, for posting informational stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to a detention center and released later that day.

Ms. Shang was arrested again on April 4 and has not been released. Ms. Zhao was again arrested on April 7.

9. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Tang Zhongbi's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Tang Zhongbi was arrested at home by officers from the Urumqi Railway Police Station on March 17, 2016. The police ransacked her home. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shen Shuling Arrested

Ms. Shen Shuling was arrested by officers from the Security Office at Hubei Province No. 3 Hospital on March 31, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

11. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Ms. He Shaohua Sentenced

Ms. He Shaohua, arrested on June 5, 2015, was sentenced to a four year prison term on April 5, 2016. She is still detained at Dunhuang Detention Center.
