Additional Persecution News from China – April 11, 2016 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were sentenced, and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Urumqi, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

1. [Urumqi, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhao Lingxiu was sentenced to five years in prison by the Tianshan District Court on March 28, 2016. She appealed.

Ms. Wu Tingfeng was sentenced to three years. She is imprisoned at the Xinjiang Women's Prison.

Mr. Jia Zhiyuan from the Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Qitai County Court. He appealed.

2. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Xiaoqin Detained

Ms. Yang Xiaoqin was arrested on April 8, 2016 by officers from the Jining Domestic Security Division and Gongqingtuanlu Police Station. The officers seized her printer, Falun Gong materials, and over 30,000 yuan in cash. She was incarcerated first at the police station, and then taken to the Jining Detention Center on April 9, 2016.

3. [Zhuzhou city, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Fangxiang and her husband Mr. Guo Wenxing, as well as Ms. Zeng Xiyin and Ms. Liu Baiying were arrested on July 8, 2015. They were sentenced to one year in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by the Hetang District Court on January 28, 2016. Three female practitioners have been incarcerated in the Changsha Women's Prison since March 9, 2016. Mr. Guo is imprisoned in the Wangling Men's Prison in You County.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Li Xiulan from Longhua County was arrested on the morning of April 7, 2016 by officers from the Longhua Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released later that day.

5. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yuhua Detained

Ms. Zhang Yuhua was arrested at home on the morning of March 30, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. Officers from the Jincheng Town Border Police Station made the arrest. The officers seized her Falun Gong books. She is incarcerated at the Laizhou Detention Center.

6. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Fu Detained

Mr. Liu Fu of Liulintun Village, Yangtian Township was arrested at home on March 31, 2016 for bringing Falun Gong fliers to Yangtian Police Station director Wang Jiang and the township government public security staff Shi Yuguo. Officers from the Yangtian Police Station seized his Falun Gong books and speakers, and took him to the police station. He is incarcerated at the Chicheng Detention Center and subjected to 15 days detention.

7. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Held in Brainwashing Center

Practitioners from Zhangxing Town: Ms. Han Lianhua, Ms. Yuan Xijing, Ms. Zhong Zhaofen, and Ms. Wang Guimei were arrested on the morning of April 8, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Zhangxing Town Police Station. They are subjected to five days detention and incarcerated at the Lingnan Brainwashing Center in Linglong Town.
