(Minghui.org) Small groups of retirees often gather to discuss current affairs together near where I live. Sometimes they get into heated discussions.
Although they chided those in power, they never used to dare mention the words “Falun Gong.” Recently, however, they talk about it openly, saying things in a way that shows their support of the practice.
I heard one person say, “We can see through the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and we know the self-immolation incident was staged… a hoax!”
Another person said, “The CCP says that Falun Gong is bad, but they can't really find any fault with them. So they make things up and claim that it's a crime to practice. In fact, people who practice Falun Gong are good people.”
One man printed a stack of Falun Gong informational materials and sometimes reads them out to crowds of people. Two other retirees often talk about how Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong, is a good and capable person. They say that in the past people were afraid of Falun Gong, but that back then, people knew nothing about the practice. After getting to know about the practice, they know that Falun Gong is good.
Two practitioners were handing out Falun Gong literature in a busy area one day. A man caught up to them and said, "You shouldn't distribute fliers in a crowd."
He showed them his ID and said, "I'm a police officer. You should distribute the flyers in the mornings and evenings, when there are fewer people." He returned the flyer a practitioner had given him and went on his way.
