(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 99 were illegally arrested.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] 48 Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners were arrested on the evening of May 6, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin. Li Shuzhi of the Shuangcheng District Police Department and Xie Dianchen of the 610 Office were in charge of the arrest.

It became known that a total of 48 practitioners were arrested by May 8, 2016.

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Li Detained

Ms. Liu Li of Longfeng District was arrested on the morning of May 4, 2016 by plainclothes officers for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong near the railroad station. She was given 10 days detention and held in the Longfeng Detention Center.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Qiongfang and Ms. Dong Lijun Detained

Ms. Liu Qiongfang of the Daqing No. 4 Factory, and Ms. Dong Lijun of Jiefang Village were arrested on May 10, 2016 by officers from the Babaixiang Police Department, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were given 15 days detention and held in the Dulitun Detention Center.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Lin Dexiang and Ms. Liu Lifen Detained

Ms. Lin Dexiang and Ms. Liu Lifen of Jiangwakou Village, Ninghe Town, were arrested on the afternoon of May 10, 2016 by officers from the Bamencheng Police Station, for distributing Falun Gong fliers in Bamencheng Town, Baodi District. Police ransacked their homes. They were given 15 days detention and held in the Baodi District Detention Center.

Ms. Li Xiujun, Ms. Zhang Hongru, and Mr. Wang Jin were arrested on May 9, 2016 by officers from the Jinmenlu Police Station, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained in the Pudong Detention Center, Jimo City.

Ms. Wang Guixia and Ms. Zhang Guizhen of Huangdi Town were arrested on the morning of May 11, 2016 by officers from the Huangdi Town Police Station, for distributing fliers about celebrating May 13 World Falun Dafa Day. They were given 15 days detention and held in the Huludao Detention Center.

Ms. Song Chunhua, Ms. Liu Xiuwen, Ms. Chen Lijun, Ms. Lian Jinhua, and Mr. He Changlong were arrested on May 11, 2016 by officers from the Jilin City Police Department, Jiaohe City Police Department, Yongji County Police Department, and Chaluhe Town Police Department. They were detained in Jiaohe City.

Ms. Fu Yanhong and Ms. Fu Yanling were arrested on May 12, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Jinxiu Police Station. They were detained for 5 days in the Jinnanlu Drug Rehabilitation Center.

9. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Yanqiu and Ms. Fu Guiqiu Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yanqiu was arrested at home on the morning of May12, 2016 by officer Li Xin and others from the Tiedong Police Station. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, computer, and Falun Gong books.

Ms. Fu Guiqiu was arrested at home in the afternoon of May 12 by officers from the Xin’anjie Police Station.

10. [Shanghai] Ms. Yan Qiuying Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Yan Qiuying of Yangpu District was arrested on May 9, 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin by agents and officers from the Neighborhood Committee, Yinhang Area Neighborhood Committee, Yinhang Police Station, and Domestic Security Division of the Yangpu District Police Department. She is detained in the Yangpu District Detention Center.

11. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Shuqing Detained

Ms. Sun Shuqing was arrested on May 7, 2016. She was given 15 days administrative detention and held in the Pudong Detention Center.

12. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Shuqing Confined in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yang Shuqing was arrested at home on the morning of May 12, 2016 by plainclothes officers. They ransacked her home and then took her to a brainwashing center.

13. [Longxi County, Gansu Province] Ms. Bao Shifang, Ms. Qian Yucai, and Ms. Li Huiqin Arrested for Suing Jiang Zemin

Ms. Bao Shifang, Ms. Qian Yucai, and Ms. Li Huiqin were arrested in the end of March 2016 for suing Jiang Zemin by Lu Dechang, captain of the Longxi County Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Dongjiao Police Station. The officers ransacked three practitioners' homes. The practitioners were released on bail because the detention center refused to admit them for health reasons.

14. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chen Yuehong, Mr. Ye Chang, Ms. Jiang Fenjuan, Mr. Lou Dejia, Ms. Chun Mei, Ms. Dui, and Ms. Shi Xiaorong were arrested on May 9, 2016 by officers from the Yongkang Domestic Security Division and agents from the Yongkang 610 Office. They were taken to the Baidubinguan Brainwashing Center.

15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuhui Detained

Ms. Wang Yuhui, 70, was arrested on February 25, 2016 for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained in the Pudong Detention Center, where she was tortured. She no longer can take care of herself. Her family asked for medical parole, but their request was rejected.

Mr. Chen and Ms. Yang from Yangsong Village, Huairou District were arrested on the early morning of May 3, 2016, for removing posters that defamed Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Many Practitioners Arrested and Five Detained

Many practitioners were arrested on the afternoon of May 10, 2016 for studying the Falun Gong books in Ms. Ma Jie's home. Ms. Ma Jie, Mr. Ma Minghai, Ms. Li Xiaoli, Ms. Zhang, and Ms. Hou were taken to the Wujiabao Police Station. The others were released.

18. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] 12 Practitioners Arrested

12 Falun Gong practitioners were arrested on April 24, 2016 by officers from the Tonghua and Yanji police departments and police stations. Police ransacked their homes.

They were Ms. Zhou Xiulian and her daughter Yang Yang, Mr. Hou Qinghua and his wife Peng Guiyun, Ms. Yan Shufang, Mr. Du Guolin, Mr. Yang Benlin, Ms. Wang Fengxia, Mr. Sun Lilong, Zhang Xueying, Mr. Jiang Kai and an unnamed female practitioner.

Mr. Hou Qinghua, Ms. Peng Guiyun, Mr. Yang Benlin, Mr. Du Gyolin and Ms. Wang Fengxia were released the next day. Zhang Xueying was transferred to Tumen.

Ms. Yang Shufang, Ms. Zhou Xiulian, Ms. Yang Yang, Mr. Sun Lilong and Mr. Jiang Kai were detained in the Tonghua Detention Center.
