Additional Persecution News from China – June 4, 2016 (22 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 24 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Xiuyun Sentenced

Ms. Xu Xiuyun was arrested by officers from the Desheng Police Station on October 20, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at a detention center. She was recently sentenced to a four year prison term by the Kaifa District Court.

2. [Urumqi, Xinjiang] Ms. Li Xiaoyin Sentenced

Ms. Li Xiaoyin, arrested in October 2015, was detained at a detention center. She was recently sentenced and taken to No. 2 Prison.

3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Niu Yongzhou Arrested

Mr. Niu Yongzhou was arrested by officers including Wang Tao from the Yayuan Town Police Station on June 3, 2016, for having Falun Gong books and symbols.

4. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiao Guixian Arrested

Mr. Jiao Guixian was arrested at home by officers from the Beipiao City Domestic Security Division on June 3, 2016. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal items.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Naige Arrested

Mr. Liu Naige was arrested and taken to a police station on June 2, 2016.

6. [Pengshan County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tian Shiqun Arrested

Ms. Tian Shiqun was arrested on June 2, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiao Peiyan Detained

Ms. Xiao Peiyan was arrested by officers from Pingluo Police Station on June 2, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. She is detained at the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center.

8. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Ye Detained

Ms. Wang Ye was arrested and taken to Tianlinxincun Police Station on June 1, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained for 15 days.

9. [Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province] Ms. Huang Siling and Ms. Zhang Fengzhen Detained

Ms. Huang Siling, 58, and Ms. Zhang Fengzhen, 51, were arrested by officers from Huanggai Town on May 31, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained at the Wenshang Detention Center for 10 days.

10. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Jie Arrested

Ms. Chen Jie was arrested at home by officers from the Tongnan District Domestic Security Division and Tangba Town Police Station on May 25, 2016. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, printers, computers, and other personal items.

11. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Mr. Ji Chuanyin's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Ji Chuanyin was arrested by officers including Ma Yangmin from the Jiulong Town Police Station on May 23, 2016. The police ransacked his home. His whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Zhaoyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Fan Fu Detained

Mr. Fan Fu was arrested at home and taken to the Zhaoyuan County Police Department on May 24,2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the Internet. The police confiscated his computer. He is detained at the Zhaoyuan County Detention Center.

13. [Nanjing, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Arrested

Ms. Wang was arrested at Xuanwu District Court on May 31, 2016, when she attended the trials held by the court against four practitioners.

14. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Suqiong's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Li Suqiong was arrested on May 31, 2016. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

Mr. Li Shihai was detained for 15 days and then taken to Laixi Detention Center for further detention.

16. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jinqiang Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Liu Jinqiang was recently arrested by officers including Cao Guang from the Jing County Domestic Security Division. Even though his family was extorted 30,000 yuan for his release, he was taken to the Hengshui Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Wang Xiuqin, 56, and Ms. Zhu Guoying, 74, were arrested by officers from Yinzhu Police Station on June 1, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu was released that evening but Ms. Wang was detained for 10 days.

Mr. Hu Zhanting was sentenced to a seven-year prison term by Haizhou District Court on May 31, 2016. He appealed to Fuxin City Intermediate Court.

20. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Du Chonglai and Ms. Zhang Hui Detained

Mr. Du Chonglai and his wife Ms. Zhang Hui were arrested by officers from the Gaoxin District Domestic Security Division on May 31, 2016. The police confiscated their printer and paper money which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong written on it. They are detained at the Weifang City Detention Center.

21. [Chongqing] Ms. Xiao Shaogui Dying Due to Torture

Ms. Xiao Shaogui, 74, was arrested by officers from the Xuanhualu Police Station on May 17, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She fell down while being detained at a detention center. As a result, her left hip was fractured. She was released because the police did not want to pay for her medical treatment.

Ms. Xiao was arrested and taken to a detention center again on January 29, 2016. She was sentenced to an 18 month prison term and taken to Chongqing Women's Prison on February 2, 2016.

In March 2016, she was on the verge of death as a result of being persecuted and was taken to a hospital. In late May, the prison told her family to pay 3,000 yuan to bail her out.

22. [Changling County, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Xu and Ms. Gao Fengmei Sentenced

Mr. Zhang Xu and Ms. Gao Fengmei were arrested by officers from the Changling County Police Department for suing Jiang Zemin. They were tried twice, and were each sentenced to a three year prison term on May 26, 2016. They appealed.
