(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 45 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Gulin County, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

After Mr. Liao Ting was tried in court for practicing Falun Gong, Gulin County Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office refused to release him. Li, head of the 610 Office, and several officers from the Taiping Town Comprehensive Management Office and the town police station went to several Falun Gong practitioners' homes to harass them in late May 2016.

The officers went to Mr. Xiong Xiuyou's home on May 24 and 25 to harass his wife Ms. Wei Zhengyou, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner. Mr. Xiong passed away due to persecution in the Deyang Prison in 2007.

The officers also went to the homes of Ms. Wang Yuanqin (from Gaoli Village), Mr. Qing Xiqun and Ms. Wei Qingsu (both from Zouma Village). Upon entering homes of Mr. Qing and Ms. Wei, they immediately tore off door stickers which read “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good.”

They also went to and ransacked the homes of Mr. Xu Yukai and Mr. Song Guangcai in Taiping Village. They confiscated over 20 copies of Falun Gong books, printed materials, and audio players.

2. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Feng Guiying Arrested

Ms. Feng Guiying was arrested on June 3, 2016.

3. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Nineteen Practitioners Arrested

Nineteen practitioners were arrested while they were studying Falun Gong teachings in the Weiduxincheng Residential Community on the afternoon of June 5, 2016.

Until now, five practitioners have returned home. The other 14 practitioners are being held at the Datong City No. 1 Detention Center. They are: Ms. Peng Jufen, Ms. Dong Chunmei, Ms. Li Haiyan, her daughter, Ms. Wang Cuihua, Ms. Xin Zhaolan, Ms. Zhao Jingbo, Ms. Yang Caili, Ms. Shan Yue'e, Ms. Xi Mei, Ms. Ma Lifang, Mr. Zhang Weide, Mr. Chen, and Mr. Zhang.

4. [Santai County, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Jing Huan, 24, was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of June 1, 2016.

Her mother Ms. Zhou Xiaoli and uncle Mr. Zhou Faming were also arrested when they went to visit her that evening.

5. [Guangshan County, Henan Province] Mr. Li Jiazhi Detained

Mr. Li Jiazhi was arrested at home by six officers from the Zishui Police Station at noon on May 26, 2016, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese Communist Party leader who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. He was beaten by the officers. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, cell phones, and desk calendars with Falun Gong content. Mr. Li was taken to a detention center that evening. He was released on June 5.

6. [Beijing] Mr. Du Xingguo Arrested

Mr. Du Xingguo was recently arrested. He has returned home. However, he lives under constant surveillance and is prohibited from going out.

7. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Pingye Detained

Mr. Li Pingya was arrested by officers from the Chaoyang Road Police Station on June 3, 2016. He was placed in detention for suing Jiang Zemin.

8. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Xinmei Detained

Two plainclothes officers broke into Ms. Pan Xinmei's home at noon on May 25, 2016. They arrested her and ransacked her home. Ms. Pan was taken to the Linglong Detention Center for 10 days of detention.

9. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wang Taiqin Detained

Ms. Wang Taiqin and her younger brother were reported for telling people about Falun Gong on their way to their hometown in early April 2016. Both were arrested and taken to the Weng'an Police Department. Later Ms. Wang went into a coma, and the police called her family to take her home. Her family took her to Shanghai for medical treatment.

A few days later, the officers went to Shanghai and arrested Ms. Wang again. They brought her back to Weng'an. Visits from her family and lawyer were denied.

10. [Beijing] Mr. Chen Xiurong and Mr. Liu Gexin Arrested

Mr. Chen Xiurong and Mr. Liu Gexin were reported when they told people about Falun Gong at a construction site in Mapo Town on the evening of May 3, 2016. Both were arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Mr. Hong Jinlong Arrested

Elderly Mr. Hong Jinlong was arrested recently.

12. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Qiuyan Detained

Ms. Wang Qiuyan was arrested at the Suihua City Train Station by the railway police on the afternoon of May 31, 2016. The officers ransacked her home that afternoon and confiscated Falun Gong books. Ms. Wang is being held in the Suihua City Detention Center.

13. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Su Xiaoyou Detained

Mr. Su Xiaoyou from the Xiashan District was arrested by officers from the Jinzhongzi Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong at the Jinzhongzi Town Farmers Market in Anqiu City on the morning of June 4, 2016. The officers body searched him and took his keys. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, audio players, cash, and other personal belongings. Mr. Su is being held in the Anqiu City Detention Center.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Hong'e and Another Practitioner Detained

Ms. Chen Hong'e and another practitioner from the Fangshan District were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong on May 10, 2016. Both were first taken to the Fangshan District Detention Center, one week later they were taken to a brainwashing facility in Guandao Village, Liangxiang Town.

15. [Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Yanling Arrested

Ms. Li Yanling was arrested on May 27, 2016.

16. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ma Xiuhua and Ms. Sun Lingpei Detained

About eight officers from the Yijiangmen Police Station in the Gulou District broke into the homes of Ms. Ma Xiuhua, 69, and Ms. Sun Lingpei, 70. They arrested both practitioners and took them to the Nanjing City Detention Center. The officers then ransacked their homes.

17. [Chongqing] Mr. Xue Junhe Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Nanqiaosi Police Station in the Shimahe area led by Zhou Jun, a Yukang Residential Community staff, broke into Mr. Xue Junhe's home and arrested him on the evening of May 17, 2016. Mr. Xue was taken to the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center in the Geleshan area. He returned home nine days later.

18. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Shuhua Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yang Shuhau from Zhangtiange Village was arrested on June 5, 2016. She is being held in the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center.

19. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Sun Zhanlin Detained

Mr. Sun Zhanlin was arrested by officers from the Siguanyingzi Police Station when he talked to people about Falun Gong in Siguanyingzi Town on the morning of May 19, 2016. He was first held in the Dahenan Detention House, and is still detained.

20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Lianhong Detained

Ms. Zhou Lianhong, from the Longgangwan area, Xugu Town, the Xinzhou District, works at odd jobs in Wuhan City. She was arrested by officers from the Wuhan Police Department around May 23, 2016. She was transferred to the Liuji in Xinzhou District after being detained for 15 days.

21. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Honglei was going to Ms. Sun Shuqing's home to visit her family on the evening of June 5, 2016. Ms. Sun was arrested on May 7, 2016. Ms. Sun's husband was drunk and irrational. He locked Ms. Li in a room and called the police. Officers from the Tongji Police Station arrived and arrested Ms. Li.

When Ms. Li's husband, her mother-in-law Ms. Qiu Qinghua, and practitioner Mr. Zhang Pengwei went to inquire about her, they were also arrested.

22. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Lihua and Ms. Fang Yuzhen Arrested

Officers from the Baofeng Police Station in the Qiaokou District went to the Tiyuguan Elementary School at noon on June 2, 2016. They arrested Ms. Xiong Lihua, a teacher, for suing Jiang Zemin. The police ransacked her home that afternoon and confiscated truth clarification calendars, and other personal belongings. Ms. Xiong was taken to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center for five days of detention.

Ms. Fang Yuzhen was also arrested recently for suing Jiang Zemin.

23. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Jing Detained

Ms. Li Jing from the Linggang area was arrested at her restaurant by Zhang Liping, an officer from the Lingyuan City Domestic Security Division, and several officers from the Mohudian Police Station at noon on June 3, 2016. She is being held in the Xidayingzi Women's Detention Center in Chaoyang City.

24. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Chunsheng Arrested

Mr. Zhang Chunsheng, a teacher with the Guxi Town Middle School in Tongnan County, was reported for telling students about Falun Gong. He was arrested and taken to the Tongnan District Police Department on the afternoon of May 31, 2016. His home was ransacked.

25. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Hui Detained

Ms. Liu Hui, a former teacher with the Jinqin Road Elementary School, was arrested by officers from the Huangwa Street Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong on a bus on June 1, 2016. She was placed in criminal detention. The officers ransacked the home of Ms. Liu's parents and confiscated personal belongings. Ms. Liu is being held in the Pi County Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was previously held in labor camps, brainwashing centers, and the Longquan Women's Prison, with terms totaling 12 years. She suffered various forms of torture. She returned home from the prison in May 2015.

Ms. Tang Zhaoxia, in her 50s, from Pingzhuang Town in the Yuanbaoshan District, was arrested on June 1, 2016. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and Falun Gong books. Ms. Tang is being held in the Pingzhuang Detained Center for 10 days of detention.

27. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Pingzhong Arrested

Mr. Wang Pingzhong was arrested by the Development Zone police on the morning of May 8, 2016. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated a printer and other personal belongings. Mr. Wang's elder sister was also taken to the police station. She was released later.
