(Minghui.org) The following are two stories from Tangshan City of Hebei Province that gained widespread attention online in 2010.
One day in the Tangshan Electric Vehicles Market, a customer felt unsafe when he noticed that several strange young men were following him...he left quickly.
Just as he was leaving, they surrounded him, beat him, and demanded he give them his money.
He cried out for help but no one came. In his despair, he remembered a Falun Gong practitioner told him that he could call out “Falun Dafa Hao (Falun Dafa is good)” in an emergency.
After he called out “Falun Dafa Hao” three times, several policemen appeared and ran toward him. When they saw the police coming, the robbers ran away.
However, the policemen did not chase the robbers. They wanted to arrest the man for practicing Falun Dafa.
The policemen questioned him for a long time to confirm that he was not a practitioner and finally let him leave.
“Looks like we saved you!” One policeman said.
The man answered, “I called out for help but you did not respond. You only came when I called out “Falun Dafa hao!” I shall thank Falun Dafa instead of you.”
The second story was about an older man in his 60's who had just withdrawn a lot of money from a bank to help his son buy an apartment. When he walked into a lightly trafficked street, two men stopped him and demanded he give them his money.
The older man did not want to hand over his hard-earned money, so he yelled “Help! Help! Robbery! Help me!”
When he saw that no one was coming to help, one robber pulled a knife against his back and threatened, “Shut up! I will stab you if you call out again. Where is the money? Hurry up!”
The man remembered a Falun Gong practitioner told him that he could call Falun Dafa for help in an emergency, so he called out, “Falun Dafa Hao! Falun Dafa Hao!”
Immediately, two policemen appeared, and ran toward them. The two robbers ran in the opposite direction.
The two policemen grabbed the older man and said, “You are arrested for practicing Falun Dafa! Come with us to the police station.” The man feared the robbers were still watching from a hiding place so he did not resist.
At the police station, the man said, “I must thank Falun Dafa first. Then I will thank you for helping me.”
The two policemen were puzzled. The older man told them the whole story from going to the bank, to calling out Falun Dafa.
The two policemen laughed, and said that he could go home.
