(Minghui.org) During the 26th International Congress of The Transplantation Society in Hong Kong between August 18 and 23, Falun Gong practitioners held activities near the venue to expose and help stop forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Dr. Philip J. O'Connell, president of The Transplantation Society (TTS), said at a press conference that “he had told Chinese presenters at the Thursday session that their country’s decades-long practice of using the organs of executed prisoners had horrified the rest of the world,” according to a NY Times article with the title of “Chinese Claim That World Accepts Its Organ Transplant System Is Rebutted.”
Many medical professionals who attended the event accepted pamphlets from practitioners. Some said, “I know all about it [forced organ harvesting in China],” and “I am on your side.”

One surgeon from Mexico said he had read about organ pillaging in China, adding, “The organ transplant system in Mexico is not money-driven; otherwise, this could harm the organ transplant industry in the long term.” He was pleased to learn that the United States House of Representatives had passed H.Res. 343 condemning the forced organ harvesting in China and he said he would keep following this issue.
A pedestrian thanked practitioners for their efforts, “I know about the suppression in China and I admire your courage in holding such events.” She said people need to know the truth and the defamatory propaganda against Falun Gong will not last.
