(Minghui.org) Ten Chengdu City residents were reading in a private home on July 23, when a group of government agents broke in and arrested them.
The nine women and one man were studying Zhuan Falun, the main teaching of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance that is being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
The agents wore no uniforms, nor did they produce any IDs or search warrants. They ordered everyone to freeze and began checking bags and turning the apartment upside down.
Two police vehicles were on standby outside the apartment complex. As neighbors gathered to see what was going on, a uniformed policemen helped the arresting agents push the ten Falun Gong practitioners into the vehicles.
The practitioners were divided into five groups, two in each, and sent to five different police stations for interrogation.
They were brought back together to Jinyang Police Station the next day. Later that night, three officers took Ms. Lv Youqiong, Mr. Xu Yong, Ms. Zhou Ziyu, Ms. Li Xiaoping, and a woman whose name remains to be investigated to a local hospital for medical examination. Upon their return, the five practitioners were transferred to an unknown location.
The remaining five practitioners were each forced to pay 2,000 yuan and sign a “release on bail” statement. Ms. Zhang Minghong, Ms. Liu Shuling, Ms. Zhao Defang, Ms. Fan, and another woman whose name is unknown were picked up by their families in the wee hours of July 25.
