Additional Persecution News from China – July 19, 2016 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 were illegally arrested.

1. [Danyang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Jinmei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Chen Jinmei was arrested on November 4, 2015. She was recently sentenced to three years in prison.

2. [Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Yuntao Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Yang Yuntao was arrested for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. He was recently sentenced to one year in prison by the Huanan County Court. He will file an appeal.

3. [Xinzheng City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhou Guizhen Detained

Ms. Zhou Guizhen, 52, was arrested by officers from the Daxue Road Police Station on April 11, 2016. She was held in the Guxing Town No. 3 Detention Center in Zhengzhou City.

4. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pang Aiyu Detained

Ms. Pang Aiyu form Sija Village in Ligezhuang Town in Jiaozhou City was arrested by officers from the Madian Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong in Madian Town, Jiaozhou City, on July 15, 2016. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

5. [Yuanshi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Aishu Arrested

Ms. Wang Aishu was arrested by officers from the Xingtai Segment of the High-Speed Railway for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Liu Village, Yuanshi County on May 30, 2016.

6. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xiao Yanping and Ms. Song Xianlan Detained

Ms. Xiao Yanping and Ms. Song Xianmei were arrested by officers from the Tangyan Road Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on July 13, 2016. They were taken to the Xi'an Detention Center.

7. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. XiaoYanping Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Xiao Yanping was arrested recently in Xi'an. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Plainclothes officers from the Huarong District Police Department in Ezhou City broke into Ms. Li Xian'e's home in the Nanhu area of Wuchang District on July 12, 2016. They arrested Ms. Li, Mr. Fu Guoqi, Ms. Yang Hanzhen, Ms. Xia Yulan, and Mr. Chen Yanming and ransacked the place. The five practitioners were held in the Ezhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yanxia in worsening Health ConditionMs. Li Yanxia from Fuyu County was arrested by officers from the Fuyu County Domestic Security Division on July 14, 2015. She was sentenced to one year in prison and taken to the Jilin Women's Prison on July 12, 2016.

She was diagnosed with contagious open tuberculosis symptoms, uterine fibroids, ovarian tumors, among other diseases. Her physical condition is worsening.

10. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Gao Jingyun, Ms. Yang Shujun, and Ms. Huang Lihua were tried by the Zhaodong City Court on July 4, 2016. Ms. Huang's family learned on July 15 that the three practitioners had been sentenced to prison. Mr. Gao was sentenced to four years in prison; Ms. Yang and Ms. Huang were each sentenced to three years and five months.
