(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

On July 11, 2016, Fuxin City Intermediate Court upheld Mr. Hu Zhanting's seven year prison term.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Peizhi Detained

Mr. Liu Peizhi from Zhucheng City was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Wulian City Police Department when he talked to people about Falun Gong and distributed Falun Gong informational materials in Xumeng Town on July 12, 2016. His home was ransacked. He is being held in Rizhao City Detention Center.

3. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhao Chunlian Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhao Chunlian from Xinjian Town in Jinyun County was recently arrested for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to Xiaoyun Brainwashing Center.

4. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Yu Jun Arrested

Mr. Yu Jun was arrested in the summer of 2013. He has not been heard from since.

5. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Xiulian and Sister Ms. Chen Bihui Detained

Ms. Chen Xiulian and her sister Ms. Chen Bihui were arrested by officers from Shunqing District Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on June 16, 2016. They were taken to Huafeng Detention Center.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhao Shuqin and Ms. Zhang Guixia Detained

Ms. Zhao Shuqin and Ms. Zhang Guixia from Shuihuopu Village in Wuqing District were arrested by officers from Langfang Economic and Technological Development Zone Police Station when they talked to people about Falun Gong in the afternoon on July 17, 2016. They were taken to Langfang Detention Center.

7. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Hu Yuxia Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Hu Yuxia was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Jiangnan No. 2 Police Department on July 30, 2015 for making phone calls to inform people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held in Shanyou Detention Center. Her family learned on July 4, 2016 that Ms. Hu had been sentenced to three years in prison and taken to Jilin Women's Prison.

8. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wang Ziyu and Another Practitioner Arrested

Mr. Wang Ziyu and another practitioner from the Baiyun District were reported to place when they talked to people about Falun Gong on July 1, 2016. Both practitioners were arrested and their homes ransacked. They have since returned home.

9. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Liu Xingying and Ms. Kou Qiaoyun Detained

Ms. Liu Xingying and Ms. Kou Qiaoyun were reported when they distributed Falun Gong informational materials in the afternoon on June 12, 2016. They were arrested and taken to Kunming City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was released after being detained for one month and two days. Ms. Kou is still detained. Her current situation is unknown.

Ms. Dong Guixia from Suizhong County was arrested by officers from Suizhong Domestic Security Division on July 18, 2016. She is being held in Huludao City Detention Center.
