(Minghui.org) The following are two stories of people in China openly showing support for Falun Dafa, despite the Chinese regime's ongoing persecution of the practice.
A retired Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official lives in a small town in the northeast of China. He despises the programs on Chinese Central TV, all CCP propaganda. During the past few years, he has been looking for television programs that speak the truth.
When people talk about national affairs, their discussions are often one-sided because the government does not tell the truth, and many people have no other means of getting news.
One day he turned on his TV and found a new channel that dared to talk about issues truthfully. He kept watching this channel. However, a few days later, the channel was blocked by the town government.
Soon he found a newspaper and a CD at the door of his house. He read the paper and watched the CD; both explained the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. The CD had recordings of shows from New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV). It was the station he had been watching.
“It tells the truth. It is an honest TV station. It is our TV station,” he said.
After the retired official learned the truth about Falun Gong, he decided to help other people learn the facts. He bought a portable DVD player. With this and the CD, he played the informational videos in small stores, which attracted a lot of people.
He often encouraged Falun Gong practitioners. For instance, he said, “You must stay on your path. We understand and support Falun Gong. Our nation and our future generations are counting on you. When you have new CDs, don’t forget to give me one.”
“The CCP has already lost the people,” he said. “It solely depends on lies to deceive the people. It depends on lies to maintain its regime. People are afraid of their government and have become timid. However, I am not afraid of it!”
One Saturday afternoon, a fellow practitioner and I went out to distribute informational materials about Falun Gong. We came to a street near a bus station. A few dozen people stood in line looking for employment. I thought those people might have time to read the materials, so I walked toward them.
Several of them watched me approaching and immediately asked, “Are you hiring? What can we do for you? Tile installation or plumbing repair?”
I shook my head and said, “Hi everyone, I am not hiring, I am giving you informational material about Falun Gong.”
After hearing my words, some people exclaimed: “Falun Gong! Falun Gong!” They extended their hands and said, “Give me a copy! Give me a copy!”
I had brought a pile of booklets, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, newspapers and CDs, and everyone wanted to have one. Many people suddenly came forward, surrounded me and jostled each other for items.
“Stop and stay in the line. Don’t rush, everyone will get one,” I shouted. Some of them were afraid that they might not get one, so they took booklets from my backpack.
Within a few minutes, all of the informational materials were gone.
