Practitioners from across Europe gathered in Paris for a conference and related activities, including introducing the meditation practice in Parc des Buttes-Chaumont.
The events were held on October 1, which marks the 68th year since the Chinese Communist Party came to power. Democratic leaders spoke at the rally in support of the practitioners' efforts to end the persecution of Falun Gong in mainland China.
“We live here with freedom and don't know that such a thing is happening in 2017," one spectator remarked.
