Additional Persecution News from China – October 7, 2017 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 4 were illegally arrested.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Hui and Ms. Zhang Hong's Whereabouts Unknown
3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Shuying Arrested
4. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhu Detained
5. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Two Sisters and Non-practitioner Brother-in-Law Arrested
6. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Qiang Weixiu Arrested
7. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Ni Jinlan's Home Ransacked

1. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Shuyan and Mr. Xu Jianyu Detained

Ms. Zhao Shuyan from Daling Town was arrested while riding on a school bus on September 28, 2017. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials. She was detained for five days.

Mr. Xu Jianyu from Daling Town was arrested at home on the same day. He was taken to a detention center for 15 days of detention.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Luo Hui and Ms. Zhang Hong Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Luo Hui and Ms. Zhang Hong's whereabouts are unknown since July 2017.

3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Shuying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuying was reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of September 28, 2017. She was arrested and taken to the Zhenjiangsi Police Station. She was released that day.

4. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yuzhu Detained

Ms. Wang Yuzhu was transferred to a detention center after being held for 10 days.

5. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Two Sisters and Non-practitioner Brother-in-Law Arrested

Ms. Zhou Chunmei's younger sister and her non-practitioner brother-in-law from Wuchuan City were arrested by the local 610 Office staff on October 4, 2017, for trying to rescue Ms. Zhou (who was already in custody).

6. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Qiang Weixiu Arrested

Ms. Qiang Weixiu from Zhenyuan County was arrested on October 1, 2017. She had stayed away from her home to avoid being arrested since May 2011.

Over a dozen officers broke into Ms. Ni Jinlan's home in Tapo Village, Chang'an District, in early October 2017. They ransacked her home and confiscated printing supplies and other equipment.
