Additional Persecution News from China – October 18, 2017 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 were illegally arrested.

1. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Du Hexian Detained

Mr. Du Hexian was arrested by Guo Junxue and Zhang Baozhong, both from the Xiong County Domestic Security Division, on the afternoon of September 26, 2017. He was taken to the Baoding Detention Center the following day. He has been on a hunger strike for 22 days to protest the persecution. Around October 10, Guo Junxue asked Mr. Du's family to pay 500 yuan to cover force-feeding and infusion costs.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

A Falun Gong study group of six practitioners from Qingbaijiang District were arrested on the afternoon of October 15, 2017. They are Mr. He Yuanchao, Mr. Li Huafang, Ms. Cai Le, Mr. Li Keke, Ms. Su Xiangfang, and Ms. Li Dengfeng. They are probably held in the Xiangfu Police Station.

3. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

One plainclothes officer from the Shouguang City Domestic Security Division and two officers from the Gucheng Neighborhood Police Station broke into Mr. Zhao Liming's home in Zujia Village, Gucheng Neighborhood, and ransacked it on the morning of October 14, 2017. Mr. Zhao recorded the process with his cell phone. He was arrested and taken to the police station. The officers took his cell phone and destroyed it as it contained footage of the ransack. Mr. Zhao's 80-year-old father was so frightened, he suffered a sudden heart attack.

Then the three officers went to Mr. Zhao Shiheng's home in the same village. No one was at home at that time. The officers pried open the door to get in. They confiscated photos of and books written by the founder of Falun Gong.

4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yu Wenzhe Detained

Mr. Yu Wenzhe was arrested by patrol officers from the Tiedong Police Department on the afternoon of October 16, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials. He is being held in the Anshan City Women's Detention Center.

5. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jiang Yongqin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Jiang Yongqin was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center by Domestic Security officers and the 610 Office staff on October 10, 2017.

6. [Linkou County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Benzhi and Ms. Wang Hongxia Arrested

Ms. Liu Benzhi and Ms. Wang Hongxia were arrested on October 15, 2017. Ms. Wang was released that evening. Her computer and three cell phones were confiscated.

7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xuexian Detained

Mr. Wang Xuexian was arrested by officers from the Lingnan Police Station on the afternoon of October 10, 2017. He was held in the Jinzhou City Detention Center for 15 days.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chou Zuofeng from Jiefang Village, Wujia Town, was arrested at home by officers from the Wujia Police Station, Shuangcheng District, on October 9, 2017.

Mr. Liu Jimin from the Houtangjia area, Nuanquan Village, Wujia Town, was also arrested that day.

Ms. Fan Ping from Wujia Village was arrested at home by the officers on October 10.

In addition, the officers went twice to homes of Mr. Wang Deping and Mr. Fan Quansheng and harassed them.

9. [Weining County, Guizhou Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Luo Cuiqin, Ms. Xu Yanfei, Mr. Dai, and his wife were arrested by officers from the Hezhang County Police Department on October 14, 2017. The officers confiscated their computers, printers, and other items worth over 10,000 yuan. Their whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Lu Anmin Taken Into Custody

Officers from the Xincheng District Domestic Security Division and the Zhongshanmen Police Station broke into Ms. Lu Anmin's home and ransacked it on the afternoon of October 16, 2017. Ms. Lu and her daughter were taken to the police station. Her daughter was released. Ms. Lu remains in custody.

11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Dongxia and Husband Arrested

Ms. Sun Dongxia and her husband were arrested at home on the evening of October 16, 2017. They have not returned.

12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Shuxian Detained

Ms. Gao Shuxian from the Longgang area was arrested on October 10, 2017 for hanging Falun Gong banners. She was held in the city detention center for 15 days.

13. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Xiaoming Arrested

Ms. Wu Xiaoming was arrested at home by officers from the Mìluo Police Station on the afternoon of October 15, 2017.

14. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Zhao Echuan Arrested

Mr. Zhao Echuan was arrested on the afternoon of October 16, 2017. The police handcuffed him and took him back to his rented home and ransacked it.

15. [Tianjin] Ms. Yu Fuyan Arrested

Ms. Yu Fuyan from Dasi Town, Xiqing District, was arrested by officers from the Meijiang Police Station on the evening of October 17, 2017.

16. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Hailan Arrested

Six or seven officers from the Guguantun Town Police Station, High-Tech Zone, broke into Ms. Liu Hailan's home and ransacked it on the morning of October 17, 2017. They confiscated a notebook computer, a printer, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and printed materials. Ms. Liu was taken to Liaocheng City.

17. [Chongqing] Ms. Fan Subi Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Fan Subi from the Guojiatuo area, Jiangbei District, was arrested by four people on September 29, 2017. She was taken to the Geleshan Brainwashing Center. She returned home a week later.
