(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Zhao Yanhua, 47, an engineer at the Shou'an Fire Company, was arrested at work by officers from the Nanhu Police Station in the Wangjing area on October 23, 2017. The officers ransacked her workplace and home.

Ms. Zhao was taken to the Chaoyang Detention Center.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Zheng Detained

Mr. Wang Zheng from the Fengtai District was arrested at home by officers from the Shiliuyuan Police Station on October 11, 2017. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books, a cell phone, his car and house keys.

Mr. Wang is being held in the Fengtai District Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Li Shuyun and Her Son Mr. Fu Yujie Detained

Ms. Li Shuyun and her son Mr. Fu Yujie from the Fengtai District were arrested on May 13, 2017. Both practitioners were taken to the Fengtai Detention Center.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengmei Detained

Bai Haibo and two other officers from the Huangqi Street Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Fengmei, from the Huangxing Residential Community, on the evening of October 16, 2017. They confiscated Falun Gong books and materials from her home.

Ms. Zhang was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

5. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yushun Detained

Ms. Xu Yushun was arrested by officers from the Yanji City Domestic Security Division on October 21, 2017. She was taken to a detention center.

6. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Junmei Detained

Ms. Zhao Junmei from Wangou Town in the Jiangyuan District was arrested by officers from the Wangou Town Police Station on the morning of October 23, 2017. She was taken to the Jiangyuan County Detention Center.

7. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners' Verdicts Upheld

The Tonghua City Intermediate Court upheld the original verdict of prison sentences for five practitioners on September 27, 2017.

Mr. Zhang Jinghe was taken to the Gongzhuling Prison on September 29. Ms. Du Rongjuan, Ms. Yang Jing, and Ms. Liu Changchun were taken to the Changchun Women's Prison. It is not known where Ms. Zhang Guixiang is being held.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xin Guoying Detained

Mr. Xin Guoying from Xihuaji Village, Dafangshen Town, Dehui City, was arrested at home by officers from the Dehui City Domestic Security Division and the Dafangshen Police Station on October 18, 2017. His home was ransacked.

Mr. Xin was taken to the Dehui City Detention Center.

9. [Caohu City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Jiao Guifang (73), Ms. Ni Yuxiang (73), and Mr. Chen Kelin (68) were arrested at Mr. Chen's home on October 3, 2017. Their homes were ransacked.

The three practitioners were taken to the police station for interrogation. Ms. Jiao and Ms. Ni were released the following day. Mr. Chen was taken to the Hefei Detention Center.

10. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Cheng Wenlan Detained

Ms. Cheng Wenlan from Jieshou City was arrested at home by officers from the Minzhu Police Station on October 10, 2017. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated an electric tricycle.

Ms. Cheng was taken to the Fuyang Detention Center.

11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Lixiang Detained

Ms. Han Lixiang from Wangtai Town in the Haixi New District was recently arrested by officers from the Wangtai Town Police Station for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was taken to the Pudong Detention Center after seven days of detention.

12. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Jiding's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Wang Jiding from Hunan Province was arrested at the Guangzhou Train Station on October 21, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Meitao, Mr. Jia Wei, Ms. Guo Aixian, Ms. Zhang Shu'e, and three elderly practitioners from Jiubu Township and Ximalin Township were arrested on October 21, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in villages in Shangyi County. The police confiscated a van.

The seven practitioners were taken to the Shangyi Police Station.

Ms. Liu, Mr. Jia, Ms. Guo, and Ms. Zhang were detained for seven days in Zhangjiakou. The three elderly practitioners were released the following day.

14. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ms. Teng Zhi Detained

Ms. Teng Zhi was stopped and her bag searched at Yingcheng Square on the morning of October 13, 2017. She had Falun Gong informational materials in her bag, and was arrested.

Ms. Teng was taken to a detention center.

15. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shu Hangzhen Detained

Ms. Shu Hangzhen was arrested by officers from the Longtan Police Station on October 20, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was taken to the Wuxue City Detention Center for ten days of detention.

16. [Xiangtan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Heqing Taken into Custody

Ms. Liu Heqing from Yisuhe Town was arrested by officers from the Xiangtan County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on October 17, 2017. She was taken to the Xiangtan County Party School.

17. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Fengli's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Jiang Feili from Chalu Village, Baoshan Town, was arrested on October 20, 2017. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Jiang's whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Shuzhen and Ms. Li Yanru Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuzhen and Ms. Li Yanru were arrested on the afternoon of October 23, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

Mr. Liu Changshan and Mr. Wang Liguo from the Xing'an District were arrested and taken to the Hegang City Detention Center on October 16, 2017.

Mr. Xu Xianda, who has been kept in solitary confinement in the Hulan Prison, was taken to a hospital recently. He has been on a hunger strike and is in critical condition.
