Additional Persecution News from China – November 18, 2017 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Shuying Arrested

Ms. Liu Shuying was arrested at home on October 15, 2017. Her Falun Gong books, CDs and two cell phones were confiscated.

2. [Gongzhuling, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Xiufeng and Ms. Guo Xiaoying Arrested

Ms. Li Xiufeng and Ms. Guo Xiaoying were arrested in September 2017 for making informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Li is currently held at the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center. Ms. Guo's whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Qingtongxia City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Arrests of Ms. Wang Hongyan and Ms. Zhang Xiuying Approved

Ms. Wang Hongyan and Ms. Zhang Xiuying were arrested and taken to Wuzhong City Detention Center by officers from the Qingtongxia City Domestic Security Division on October 18, 2017. Their arrests have been approved by the Qingtongxia City Procuratorate.

4. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Huanying and Ms. Zhang Aili Arrested

Ms. Chen Huanying and Ms. Zhang Aili were arrested and their homes ransacked by officers from the Binbei Domestic Security Division on November 16, 2017. Ms. Chen was taken to Niuzhuang Detention Center and then transferred to the Shengcai Brainwashing Center because she failed the physical examination. Ms. Zhang's whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Ningjin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Yanping Transferred to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Song Yanping was transferred to the Dezhou City Brainwashing Center from the Dezhou City Detention Center on October 17, 2017.

6. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Huamin Arrested

Ms. Han Huamin was arrested at her workplace by officers from the Taocun Town Police Station on November 8, 2017. The police confiscated Falun Gong books and informational materials about the persecution. Ms. Han was taken to the police station and later released.

7. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Junju Detained

Ms. Wang Junju, arrested on November 6, 2017, is currently held at the Laizhou Detention Center.

8. [Urumqi, Xinjiang] Ms. Hao Jie and Ms. Wang Yinhuan Awaiting Trial

Ms. Hao Jie and Ms. Wang Yinhuan were arrested by the Gaoxin District Police Department on December 6, 2016. They were prosecuted in the Xinshi District Court by the Xinshi District Procuratorate in August 2017 and are awaiting trial. They are currently held at the Urumqi No. 2 Detention Center.

9. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Peng Xia and Ms. Wang Cuie Detained

Ms. Peng Xia and Ms. Wang Cuie were arrested and taken to the Paoer Village Committee on November 16, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were later transferred to the Tumu Police Station where they are still being held.

10. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Haibo and Mr. Yan Haisheng Detained

Ms. Yan Haibo was arrested by officers from the Chengdong Police Station on November 12, 2017.

Mr. Yan Haisheng was arrested at home by officers from the Chengdong Police Station and the Yanqiao Village Committee on November 13, 2017. His computers and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Both were held for 15 days.

11. [Xiaochang County, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yunxia Detained

Ms. Liu Yunxia was arrested on November 14, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is currently held at the Huangpixilu Detention Center in Xiaonan District.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Youping, Ms. Wen Guimei, and Ms. Jiang Qinglan are still held at the Dongxihu No. 1 Detention Center.

13. [Jianli County, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Mr. Li Lecheng and Mr. He Cheng are currently held at the Banqiao Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Li Dayao, Mr. Wang Shenggui, and Mr. Zhu Chunxin are held at the Jianli County Detention Center. The Jianli County Procuratorate did not approve their arrest until October 27, 2017.

14. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Yunguo and Ms. Ding Xiuzhen Detained

Ms. Wang Yunguo and Ms. Ding Xiuzhen were arrested by officers from the Buzhuang Town Police Station on November 11, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution. They were held at the Changyi Detention Center for five days.

15. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Xiuyun, Ms. Yan Wenjie, Ms. Wang Yazhen, and Ms. Yu Jinfeng were arrested on November 13, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are currently held at the Benxi City Detention Center.

16. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Ying and Ms. Li Sue Tried

Ms. Yu Ying and Ms. Li Sue were tried by the Tiedong District Court on November 28, 2017.
