(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 were illegally arrested.

1. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Tinggao Taken to Prison

Mr. Zhao Tinggao from the Bayuquan District was arrested in Haicheng City on June 28, 2016. The police confiscated over 30,000 yuan in cash from his rented home.

Mr. Zhao was tried in the Haicheng Court in May 2017. He was sentenced to a four-year prison term and fined 35,000 yuan, and was taken to the New Inmates Ward of the Shenyang Prison on September 27, 2017.

2. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Five practitioners from Zhangwu County were tried on November 24, 2017, and sentenced to prison.

Ms. Lu Dan was sentenced to 18 months.Ms. Wu Xiurong was sentenced to 14 months.Ms. Chen Shaojie was sentenced to one year.Ms. Qi Guiying was sentenced to six months.Ms. Chen Guixiang was sentenced to five months.

3. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Tingchun Placed in Criminal Detention

Ms. Zhang Tingchun from the Wanzhou District was arrested at her home by officers from the Jiulongpo District Domestic Security Division on September 22, 2017, and secretly held in a brainwashing center located in a hotel.

Ms. Zhang was placed in criminal detention in the Wanzhou Detention Center on October 18, 2017.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Lanying Sentenced to a Two-Year Prison Term

Ms. Wei Lanying, 71, was arrested in November 2017 and was sentenced to a two-year prison term. She appealed, but the Weifang City Intermediate Court upheld the original verdict.

Ms. Wei was given a health check on December 4, and released due to her poor health.

Officers from the Changle County Domestic Security Division seized her from her home on the afternoon of December 5, 2017, and took her to the Jinan Prison.

5. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Economic Development Zone Police Department and the Da'an City Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Zhang Fengling's home on the afternoon of October 9, 2017. They arrested her and her two visitors, Ms. Wang Hongyan and Ms. Chen Yumei. The police confiscated a computer and printer.

The three practitioners were taken to the Zhenlai County Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wang were officially placed under arrest by officers from the Economic Development Zone Police Department on November 4, 2017.

6. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cao Jun Arrested

Ms. Cao Jun from Yingcheng City was arrested by officers from the Silipeng Police Station on December 6, 2017. Her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Lianrong Arrested

Mr. Chen Lianrong was arrested by plainclothes officers on December 6, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Zhenfan Arrested

Mr. Liu Zhenfan from the Development Zone was arrested by officers from the Xin'an Police Station on the morning of December 7, 2017.

9. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Shengqin Sentenced to a Three-and-a-Half-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhang Shengqin from Fengcheng City was arrested on January 22, 2017, for disseminating Falun Gong information. She was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term on July 27.

Ms. Zhang has appealed to the Dandong City Intermediate Court.

10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Zaiying and Ms. Quan Jinzi Arrested

Ms. Li Zaiying and Ms. Quan Jinzi from Huadian City were arrested by Wang Honghai and other officers from the Huadian City 610 Office on the afternoon of November 11, 2017.

Ms. Quan was released later that day, while Ms. Li was taken to the Huadian Detention Center.

11. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Feng Qixin Arrested

Mr. Feng Qixin from Guantang Village, Nanhu Neighborhood, Macheng City, was arrested by officers from the Nanhu Police Station on the morning of December 6, 2017.

12. [Shanghai] Mr. Cao Hongru Arrested

Mr. Cao Hongru was arrested on the morning of December 4, 2017.

13. [Beijing] Mr. Pang Yong Arrested

Mr. Pang Yong from the Chaoyang District was arrested and his home was ransacked on October 6, 2017. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books.

Mr. Pang's whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Guizhen Detained

Ms. Zhao Guizhen from the Peifeng Residential Community, Supoqiao area of the Qingyang District, was arrested by officers from the Wenjiachang Police Station on November 26, 2017. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and over 11,000 yuan in cash.

Ms. Zhao is being held in the Chengdu City Detention Center.

15. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Youping Sentenced to an 18-Month Prison Term

Mr. Zhou Youping was sentenced to an 18-month prison term by the Guanghan Court.

16. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ouyang Meirong and Ah'Qun Arrested

Ms. Ouyang Meirong and Ms. Ah'Qun were arrested and taken to the Kuiyong Police Station on the afternoon of December 6, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ah'Qun was released that evening, while Ms. Ouyang was taken to the Yantian Detention Center for seven days of detention.
