Additional Persecution News from China – February 8, 2017 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 were illegally arrested.

5. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zheng Xilin Arrested
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yazhou Imprisoned
7. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Haifeng and Others Arrested
9. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yang Hunan and Ms. Cui Juan Sentenced

1. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Wei Zaiqiang Detained

Mr. Wei Zaiqiang, his wife and their son were arrested at home by officers from the Sanyuan County Domestic Security Division on December 8, 2016. His wife and son were released the following day. Mr. Wei is still held in Gaoling Detention Center.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Guoyi Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Chen Guoyi was recently arrested and taken to the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center.

3. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Ren Xulan Detained

Ms. Ren Xulan was arrested on February 5, 2017, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to a detention center for 10 days.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Qing and Ms. Zhu Qiyu Arrested

Ms. Yu Qing and Ms. Zhu Qiyu were arrested on February 6, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhu was released that afternoon.

5. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zheng Xilin Arrested

Mr. Zheng Xilin was arrested on January 26, 2017, by officers from the Longjiang County Police Station.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yazhou Imprisoned

Mr. Liu Yazhou was taken to Nanguanling Prison in Dalian on February 7, 2017.

7. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Kong Aiping was given a three-year prison term, with three years' probation, on January 20, 2017. She was later released.

Ms. Zhang Yunhui was recently sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

Mr. Qiao Zhenhua was recently sentenced to eight years in prison.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Haifeng and Others Arrested

Ms. Wang Haifeng and several other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zhucheng Domestic Security Division on February 6, 2017.

9. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Yang Hunan and Ms. Cui Juan Sentenced

Mr. Yang Hunan and his wife Ms. Cui Juan were arrested on March 13, 2016.

They were tried by the Xiangcheng District Court on July 18, 2016, and both were sentenced to three years in prison on January 25, 2017.
