(Minghui.org) The annual Fourth Street Festival of the Arts and Crafts was held over the long Labor Day weekend in the college town of Bloomington, Indiana. Organizers estimated that about 40,000 people visited this major arts event, where vendors from Indiana and surrounding states display and sell their crafts and artworks.
Falun Dafa practitioners from Indiana had a booth at the festival to introduce this traditional Chinese mind-body cultivation practice and to raise the awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.

Many visitors were disturbed to hear that Falun Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience in China have been victims of the Chinese regime's forced organ harvesting, their vital organs sold to transplant hospitals. They signed a petition requesting state senators to support a bill demanding that the Chinese government stop the persecution of Falun Gong and the illicit organ harvesting.
Several visitors already had some knowledge of the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and remarked that they were not surprised that the CCP could do such inhuman things. One man signed the petition and commented that he wanted to express his respect to the Falun Dafa practitioners for their courage to end the persecution.
An older gentleman said that he hadn't planned to come to the festival but something drew him to the Falun Dafa booth. He pointed to the practitioners demonstrating the Falun Dafa exercises and said that that was what he needed to do since his doctor had warned him to stop smoking and drinking alcohol.
Several Chinese students stopped at the booth and took copies of the Minghui Weekly magazine.
