(Minghui.org) Many Falun Dafa practitioners were harassed by the authorities before the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
I took my bicycle to a repair shop because I had a flat tire. While I was there, a police officer called me on my mobile phone, asked for my name and address, and wanted to know if I was home. That was the first time I had been harassed by the police, and it made me feel a bit anxious. I looked inward and realized that I had not let go of my fear.
Teacher said:
“If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist.” (“Eliminating Your Last Attachment(s)” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
With Teacher's Fa in mind, my fear soon disappeared.
I asked myself why should I fear the police? They are also victims of the CCP, because they are being used to carry out the persecution and commit sins.
My entire body was filled with righteous energy, and I sent a righteous thought towards the police station, “The police shall not commit crimes against me.”
I told the police officer that if they wanted to talk to me they could come to the bicycle repair shop.
Straight to the Point
When the officers arrived, I greeted them and asked if they wanted to know if I still practiced Falun Dafa. I felt that I had nothing to hide since practicing Falun Dafa is legal. The officers seemed taken aback that I was so straightforward, and didn't quite know how to respond.
One of the officers said that they only came to see me and ask my age.
I told them that I was 70 years old. He was surprised and said that I looked much younger.
“That is because I cultivate Falun Dafa.” I replied. “I hope you think twice before dealing with Dafa practitioners. You know that Falun Dafa is legal in China. China's Administration of Press and Publication repealed its 1999 ban of Dafa books on March 1, 2011.”
The officer said, “You have a good memory.”
“Dafa has improved my wisdom and strengthened my memory,” I replied.
I told them how I had benefited from Dafa, and that many corrupt officials who persecuted Dafa practitioners have now been arrested.
Before they left, I told them that they should not get involved, and should quit the Party, or they will be implicated when it falls out of power. They agreed.
From this experience, I understood the deeper meaning of Teacher's words:
