(Minghui.org) These New Year greetings are among the thousands that we have recently received at the Minghui website. Starting from 2002, three years after Falun Dafa was banned in China, Minghui began to receive a large number of greetings every year. Most of them were submitted from China through software that overcame the Internet blockade. Most of them are from practitioners who are determined in their righteous belief despite the harsh persecution.
We present greetings from practitioners, family members, children of detained practitioners, and overseas practitioners. They have witnessed the greatness of Falun Dafa and wish a Happy New Year to its founder, Master Li Hongzhi.
Yan Yan, the daughter of a practitioner currently detained in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province wrote, “When my mother was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for her belief, my heart was broken. But I told myself to be strong. Through the years, I have learned to handle situations that other kids cannot, while in front of others I remain happy. I am doing this because I support my mother and I cannot let her down.” As the calendar turns to 2018, Yan Yan wrote to Minghui wishing her mother and other practitioners well, along with a New Year greeting to Mr. Li Hongzhi. “Falun Dafa teaches me to be a better person and I fully support my mother,” she wrote.
Practitioners: Remaining Diligent in Cultivation Practice
A practitioner in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, said he found Zhuan Falunto be very profound. “In the past six months, I took some time memorizing the book again so that I could recite it. This is because the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very precious, and I want to keep them in my heart. I have practiced for 22 years and I will remain diligent and walk the remaining cultivation path well.”
A practitioner nearly 80-years-old said that she has been organizing a Falun Dafa study group for over 10 years. “We have practitioners who have been here the entire time and we also have newcomers from time to time. I am happy to get the house organized for practitioners every day, because this is a great opportunity for us to get together and improve our mind and heart nature.” She said that she and other practitioners are grateful to Master Li.

Supporters: No Longer Believing Defamatory Propaganda
Under the severe persecution in China, some people learned the facts from practitioners and became supportive of Falun Dafa. This includes many residents in Beijing who are thankful for improving their moral values by Falun Dafa. “People have been fighting with each other for personal gain. You and Falun Dafa practitioners are cherishing traditional values, and you are the hope for the future,” one of them wrote. He said that he supports his wife, a practitioner, and tell others about the persecution.
A late-stage cancer patient was initially desperate upon hearing of his condition. After talking with practitioners, he often recited “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good”, wishing practitioners well. “My illness has miraculously recovered and I am so happy. I sincerely wish Master Li a Happy New Year.

New Practitioners: Thanking Master Li
One person said his wife and parents-in-law are all practitioners. “From them I have seen the positive impact of Falun Dafa on their physical health and family life. I felt blessed until July 1999 when the communist party banned the group.” he wrote, “They are nice and peaceful people. Even in the face of brutality, they remain compassionate and of high caliber, while taking great efforts to help others know the truth. They are the best people I have met and the persecution is the worst.”
The person said he has now begun to read Zhuan Falun and practice Falun Dafa. “My gray hair has turned black. And I will do well in following the Falun Dafa principles,” he continued.
Another new practitioner, chairman of the board of an enterprise, said she often tells others how the Chinese Communist Party has been suppressing innocent people in political campaigns. “In less than two years, hundreds of people have told me that they will quit the communist party organizations,” she added.

Children of Detained Practitioners: Proud of My Family
Yanyan from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, said that her mother has been at the Masanjiang Women's Prison for nearly three years. “When a young, mother told me that some practitioners were detained for their belief, I never thought it would happen to my family,” she wrote. But three years ago, his mother was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former communist party leader who banned Falun Dafa.
“The jail separated my mother from me and my father,” she continued, “At that moment, I felt like I was several years older: My mother was mistreated for practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I should take good care of myself and cannot let down my mother or other family members.” Therefore, she learned to handle situations that other children don't have to, while remaining happy in front of others. “I am proud of my mother and my family, because Falun Dafa teaches us to be better people and better citizens,” she wrote.
Another teenager from Shandong Province said that his father had been detained in a prison for over three years. “Both mother and I support my father, and we have told him not to give up his principles,” he wrote in the greeting.

Overseas Practitioners: New Year, New Beginning
Practitioners in New York often go to tourist sites to tell people the facts of Falun Dafa and the atrocities of the persecution in China. They include the United Nations, Times Square, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. “Falun Dafa gave me good health, an open mind, and compassion towards others,” wrote one practitioner, “We have been coming here for over 10 years, because we hope that more people will know the facts and benefit from Falun Dafa.
German practitioners said that they know there are many people who are still influenced by the communist party's slanderous propaganda. “We will work harder to help more people know the real story of Falun Dafa,” one of them wrote, “I hope that they can also receive blessings.”
One Falun Dafa study group said that they had been reading together for the past 19 years. “We encourage and help each other so that we are all making progress,” wrote one practitioner. The greeting mentioned that the New Year is a new beginning and that they will continue to be diligent practitioners.
