Additional Persecution News from China – October 8, 2018 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 were illegally arrested.

1. [Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Na Arrested

Ms. Jiang Na from the Zhoujia area was arrested by officers from the Sijia Police Station on October 3, 2018. Ms. Jiang was displaced for over two years after she sued Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party. She just returned home from Beijing on October 1, and two days later, was arrested again.

2. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Weishan Detained

Mr. Ma Weishan from Yanjiao Development Zone was arrested on the morning of September 28, 2018 for talking to others about Falun Gong. He is being held in the Sanhe City Detention Center.

3. [Xiyang County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Lan'e and Another Practitioner Detained

Ms. Wang Lan'e and one of her relatives from Jingyang Village were arrested by officers from the Dongyetou Town Police Station on the morning of September 12, 2018 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. They were interrogated. Both practitioners were held in the Jinzhong City Detention Center. Ms. Wang was held for 15 days. Her relative was held for 10 days. Both have returned home.

4. [Jingde County, Anhui Province] Ms. Feng Suyun Arrested

Ms. Feng Suyun was arrested on October 1, 2018 for talking to others about Falun Gong and helping people do the “three withdrawals.” She was interrogated at the police station. She was later brought back home by her son-in-law.

5. [Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xu Suya Detained for Over Five Months

Ms. Xu Suya from Dinghai District was arrested at home by officers from the Baiquan Police Station in early May 2018. She is still being held in the Baiquan Detention Center.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Shiyu Placed in Criminal Detention

Ms. Wang Shiyu from Pidu District was arrested by officers from the Luyou Police Station on September 24, 2018 for telling people about Falun Gong. She was placed in administrative detention for 10 days. On October 4, she was placed in criminal detention. She is being held in the Chengdu City Detention Center.

7. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhu Xiuhua and Ms. Zhao Deping Arrested

Ms. Zhu Xiuhua and Ms. Zhao Deping were arrested on the afternoon of September 29, 2018 for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were later taken to the Dong District Police Department, where they were body searched, photographed, and fingerprinted. Ms. Zhu was brought back home by her son later that day. Ms. Zhao was brought back home by the police around 2 a.m. on September 30. All their Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

8. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Cases of Mr. Wang Ying and Ms. Wang Hongling Turned Over to Procuratorate

Mr. Wang Ying and Ms. Wang Hongling were arrested by officers from the Qingshan District Police Department on March 6, 2018 for distributing Falun Gong materials.

Their cases were turned over to the Qingshan District Procuratorate on May 28. The procuratorate, on the grounds of insufficient evidence and in need of additional investigation, returned the cases to the police department on July 13. The Domestic Security Division of the police department turned in additional investigation documents to the procuratorate on August 10. The procuratorate returned the documents to the police department for the second time on September 25.
