(Minghui.org) I am 63 years old and started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. Because Falun Dafa is being persecuted in China, I've been harassed and arrested and my home was ransacked.
Even though my husband was under enormous pressure to turn against me, he refused to and supported my cultivation. We discussed clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people, and he was very helpful. When I encounter difficulties, he always helps me resolve them.
Flying Nail Makes a Turn
My husband helped renovate his coworker's house in October 1997. The nail gun broke and several people tried to fix it.
While trying to assess the problem, my husband accidentally pulled the trigger on the gun, sending a nail right towards his eye. Everyone was in disbelief when the nail literally made a turn and hit the wall. They were all amazed, and one even asked my husband which god protected him.
My husband replied, “My wife practices Falun Dafa.”

Inflammation Instead of Stomach Cancer
I went into hiding in October 2002 because I refused to give up my faith. While I was away, my husband came down with a severe stomachache. Another practitioner took him to a hospital where he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Surgery was recommended. The practitioner notified me.
My first thought was: “He doesn't have cancer. It is just an inflammation.” I rushed to the hospital and comforted him. Then I suggested that he listen to Master's Fa teachings. He agreed.
While he was being given an IV, he listened to me read Zhuan Falun.
For the sake of my safety, my younger sister asked that my husband be transferred to an out-of-town hospital. Everything was arranged, and he was safely moved.
My older brother's daughter was the heart surgery expert at that hospital. She and three experts confirmed that my husband had stomach cancer and needed immediate surgery, followed by chemotherapy. Even with all that, we were told that his life expectancy might be no more than three years.
I remained calm when I heard that. What the doctor said didn’t count; only what Master said counted, and my husband didn't have cancer. Before the surgery, I told him not to worry and to keep in mind that only Master could save him.
As they wheeled him to the operating room, I taught him Master's poem,
“Dafa is what you carry everywhere,Zhen Shan Ren, rooted in the mind;A great Arhat walks the earth,Gods and demons fear with awe.”(“Benevolent Might” from Hong Yin)
My younger sister, also a practitioner, and I agreed that we were there to clarify the truth and distribute Falun Dafa brochures to the people in that hospital. There is always a reason for an incident! This would show people the goodness of Dafa.
After the surgery, my niece said that the sample appeared to be cancer. This did not change my thoughts, and my sister and I continued to talk to the patients about Dafa.
Three patients in my husband's room all had stomach cancer, with one undergoing chemotherapy, and the other two recovering from surgery. They both were in pain since the anesthetic had worn off. I said that my husband would be all right since he had been listening to the Falun Dafa teachings. I talked to them about Dafa and gave them brochures about the practice.
My husband did not have any pain and even wanted to eat. One of the patients was so amazed that he began to read Zhuan Falun and learned the exercises.
Three days later, we were told that my husband had an inflammation and not cancer. My niece and the doctors were amazed and said that this could not be explained by modern medical science.
My older brother, who had been against Falun Dafa, now believed in its power after witnessing my husband's recovery. He and his wife and son also read Zhuan Falun and learned the exercises. My husband also started to cultivate. He recovered very quickly and returned to work.
Master said,
“Whoever supports Dafa or advocates for Dafa is establishing for himself his being’s existence in the future and is laying a foundation for obtaining the Fa in the future.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference” from Guiding the Voyage)
