(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 were illegally arrested.

Mr. Qiao Jianhui and Mr. Huang Yunlong were recently arrested.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Qin Youku Detained

Mr. Qin Youku was arrested by Sun Zhongwei, director of the Qijia Town Police Station in Shuangyang District, and other officers on January 25, 2018. He was taken to the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center.

Afterwards, the police broke into the homes of Ms. Pan Yanbo, and Ms. Qiao Jinxia. Both practitioners escaped. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and cell phones. Ms. Pan had to go into hiding.

3. [Shanghai] Ms. Sun Baomei Given a Ten-Month Prison Term

Ms. Sun Baomei from the Pudong New Area was tried on the morning of February 7, 2018. She was given a 10-month prison term.

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhou Qian Detained

Ms. Zhou Qian from Minhang District was arrested at her work in the Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, Ocean Towers on January 10, 2018. Officers from the Pudong Domestic Security Division and the Weifang New Village Police Station made the arrest. She was held in the Pudong New Area Detention Center.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Jianmin Arrested

Mr. Gao Jianmin was arrested on February 6, 2018.

6. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guihuan Taken to Prison

Ms. Zhang Guihuan was given a two-year prison term by the Xingcheng City Court. She appealed to the Huludao City Intermediate Court, which upheld the original verdict. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on January 9, 2018.

7. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Yuhua Suffers Mental Breakdown Due to Persecution

Ms. Cui Yuhua was arrested by the police on January 26, 2018 for telling people about Falun Gong at the Minjiang Residential Community. She has been held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center. Within a few days, she suffered a mental breakdown. Her family demanded that she be released on medical parole for treatment in a specialized hospital. The police have not yet agreed.

8. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Ruixi Given a Five-Year Prison Term

Mr. Li Ruixi from Xilu Town was given a five-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan by the Sanshui District Court on February 5, 2018.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Li Yeliang Taken to Prison

Mr. Li Yeliang has been transferred to the Liulin Prison.

Ms. Zhou Yanling was arrested by officers from the Yanjiang Police Station, Pukou District, on February 3, 2018 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

Ms. Ding Yufang was given a one-year-and-six-month prison term by the Hongshan District Court. She appealed, and the original verdict was upheld.

12. [Beijing] Mr. Hu Weixue Taken to Lanzhou Prison

Mr. Hu Weixue is being held in the No. 7 Ward, Lanzhou Prison, Gansu Province.

He was arrested by officers from the Shunyi Police Department, and the Changping Police Department on January 13, 2016. He was tried at the Changping Court in August 2016. He was given a four-year prison term in September 2016. He appealed, and the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate Court upheld the original verdict.

13. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sui Bingyu Detained

Mr. Sui Bingyu from Xiaogezhuang Village, Tuanwang Town, was arrested at home on the morning of February 6, 2018. He was held in the Laiyang City Detention Center for 10 days.

14. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiangqin Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiangqin and three other practitioners from Taishi Village, Tianshi Township, Neihuang County, Henan Province, were arrested in Zhangzhai Town, Shen County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, on September 27, 2017. Their car was searched by the local police.

One practitioner was released due to old age, and one was released for health reasons. Ms. Zhang was held in the Shen County Detention Center for 28 days, and then transferred to the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Guirong, 63, and another practitioner with the last name Han, over 60, were arrested and their homes were ransacked by officers from the Jingbalu Police Station, Jinshui District, on the afternoon of February 5, 2018 for telling people about Falun Gong on Huanghe Road. The two practitioners are being held in a detention center.
