(Minghui.org) I have been cultivating Falun Dafa for 21 years. Master took care of me, purified my body, and eliminated many of my illnesses. At the same time, my righteous thoughts strengthened and my xinxing improved. This strengthened my confidence in cultivation.
There Is Nothing Practitioners Cannot Overcome
I went to a village to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa with other practitioners some years ago. We were reported to police and illegally arrested. We were not afraid, so we talked to the police officers about Falun Dafa. Some of the officers said they knew that practitioners were good people, but they had to do their job to make a living. Although they did not act as evil as some other police had acted, they did not really understand the truth about Dafa.
At the detention center, a guard questioned why Falun Dafa practitioners were being arrested. This meant that other practitioners had already clarified the truth to them. We did not give our names. The detention center realized that I was over 70-years- old and released me.
My son hid my Falun Dafa books and computer equipment after he heard that I had been arrested. I asked him to bring them back. He said “I will return the books and the computer. You can practice and study at home, but I cannot return your printer. Do you know how worried we were?”
Regardless of how I explained my request, he wouldn't change his mind. I stopped arguing with him and asked him to think about it. I sent forth righteous thoughts quietly and later thought about Master’s Fa.
Master stated:
“When you meet with a conflict, it doesn’t matter whether you are in the right. You should be asking yourself, “What on my part isn’t right in this situation? Might it really be that there is something wrong on my part?” You should all be thinking this way, with your first thought being to scrutinize yourself to try to find the problem. Whoever is not like this is not in fact a true cultivator of Dafa. It is a magical tool in our cultivation. This is a distinguishing feature of our Dafa disciples’ cultivation.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference XI)
I looked inward and found that I always rushed when I did my printing, and I was attached to quantity. I also relied on others and had the attachment to fear. I knew I should let go of these human attachments. Besides, my righteous thoughts were not strong enough to restrain villagers to keep them from reporting us to the police.
My son came to talk to me: “Mom, I really can’t bring the printer back. It is like a bomb which can explode at any second. Although you are over 70, you will be in big trouble if you are found printing those materials.”
In my heart, I was determined that I would play the main role and make the decisions. Thus, I had to find a way to get my point across.
“You are right to protect Dafa resources by hiding my things,” I said. “And you are right to support me in my practice. I know you worry about me getting hurt and don’t want to bring the printer back. From a human angle, you are a good son.”
I continued, “However, I am not just your mother, I am also a practitioner, and I must listen to Master Li. Master told us to do well the three things. Printing materials, delivering materials, and clarifying the truth are what I need to do. Master saved me, and I can’t forget it. The printer has been assisting me for eight years, and I can’t let it go. If you don’t want to bring it back to me, that’s fine. I can move out, rent a new place, and buy a new printer if that is what I must do.”
He had nothing left to say and returned the printer. Master again helped me improve my xinxing. If we believe in Master and the Fa and have strong righteous thoughts, there is nothing we cannot overcome.
Thinking About Others
I learned that the village’s security director reported us. At first, I held resentment towards him, but then I realized that he is also someone who needs to learn the truth about Dafa. However, after a while I got a little scared. I struggled with this for a while. Then finally, Master’s Fa strengthened my righteous thoughts.
Master said:
“Should you have fear,it will seize upon youIf thoughts are righteous,evil will collapseThe cultivator’s mindis loaded with FaSend righteous thoughts,and rotten demons explodeGods walk the earth,validating the Fa” (“What’s to Fear?” from Hong Yin Vol. II )
I knew I should get rid of fear and change my notions from thinking “about me” to thinking “about others.” I had to help him learn the truth. So, I mailed truth- clarification materials to the village leader and the security director.
Later I went to that village. After I visited about five homes, I went to one where the husband was sleeping, so I spoke softly to the wife. Then, the husband got up and tried to make a phone call. I stopped him and asked who he was going to call.
He said, “I want to call to ask if Falun Dafa can protect lives and if quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) can save lives.”
I said: “Who are you going to ask? What the Party broadcasted were lies, including the Tiananmen Square self-immolation and the 1,400 death cases. The Party used these lies to deceive you.”
He interrupted me and said, “You still dare to speak? Last time I reported a few practitioners.”
I was not scared and said, “My brother, please don’t do this foolish thing anymore. That hurts others and won’t benefit you. We practitioners use our own money to print materials, and we spend our own money to come here to tell you how to avoid disaster and gain peace. It’s done for you.”
I continued, “If you don’t allow me to talk to people, when disaster comes how can you be responsible for the whole village? The sin will be too huge if they haven't learned the truth or quit the CCP.”
“The CCP did so many bad things and killed 80 million people during their political movements. What do you think will happen to an organization that has killed so many people? The heavens won’t allow it! Heaven will eliminate it. Nobody can escape. How can Dafa spread to over 100 countries if Dafa is not good? Only the Party suppresses it. Only if one quits the CCP can one survive.”
After hearing this, he no longer threatened me. He put down the cellphone and asked me to go to the other houses. Though he did not quit the CCP, the evil behind him was eliminated. Maybe he will quit in the future if he hears the truth again. However, from then on no practitioner was reported and arrested in that area.
