(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, at least 31 Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested, 21 practitioners were detained, 1 practitioner was taken to prison, 1 practitioner was tortured, 2 practitioners were sentenced, and 1 practitioner's whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Sun Qingxiang from Yishui County was arrested by Shen Wenfeng and other officers from the Yishui Police Department on April 24, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Chen Yifei Arrested

Ms. Chen Yifei from Linxi County was arrested at her home on the evening of April 25, 2018. The police ransacked her place and confiscated a computer and other personal belongings.

Mr. Jing Jianhong was arrested on April 12, 2018.

4. [Tianjin] Mr. Wang Xiaogang Detained

Mr. Wang Xiaogang from the Binhai New Area was arrested by Hujiayuan Police Station officers on April 24, 2018. His home was ransacked.

Mr. Wang was taken the Tanggu No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Li Meihua, her husband Mr. Yuan Yulong, Mr. Mu Mingwu, Ms. Liang Dechun, Ms. Gou Xiaoping, and Ms. Li Jing, all from Zhashui County, were taken to the Zhashui County Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Qun was arrested and taken to the Yintan Brainwashing Center on April 13, 2018.

7. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Yonghong's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Li Yonghong, a Xi'an Jiaotong University graduate student from Jiangyou City, was arrested by officers from the Shiling Police Station in the Longquanyi District, on April 16, 2018. His whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Yulan's Case Turned Over to Court

Ms. Li Yulan from Bairin Left Banner was arrested by officers from the Bairin Left Banner Domestic Security Division on December 25, 2017. Her case was turned over to the Bairin Left Banner Court by the Procuratorate.

Ms. Li was taken to the Bairin Left Banner Detention Center, where guards shocked her with electric batons and force-fed her. She experienced heart problems and has difficulty breathing due to the torture. She often can't sleep at night and is very weak.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lu Fengxia Taken to Prison

Ms. Lu Fengxia was taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison in March 2018.

10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Xuhong and Ms. Wang Tianwa Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Guo Xuhong, 46, and Ms. Wang Tianwa, 24, were each sentenced to a one-year prison term and fined 20,000 yuan in the Faku County Court on April 4, 2018.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Xinying Detained

Ms. Wang Xinying was arrested at her home by officers from the Linyuan Police Station in the Luyuan District on the evening of April 24, 2018. She was taken to the Changchun No. 2 Detention Center.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested

Ten practitioners from Changyi City were arrested on the afternoon of April 24, 2018. They include Ms. Qi Shuying, Ms. Yang Xiaohua, Ms. Xu Wanxiang, Ms. Wang Zhaoyu, Ms. Sun Xinhua, Ms. Qi Naihua, Ms. Xiao Mingfen, Ms. Wang Xiuzhi, Ms. Zhu, and Ms. Geng.

Ms. Wang Zhaoyu, Ms. Zhu, and Ms. Geng were later released.

Ms. Qi Shuying, Ms. Yang Xiaohua, and Ms. Xu Wanxiang were placed in criminal detention at the Weifang Detention Center.

13. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ge Lingren Arrested

Ms. Ge Lingren was arrested on April 24, 2018, by Bohai Police Station officers for using bills with Falun Gong information printed on them at the grocery store.

14. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhan Zhongfeng and Ms. Zhan Zhongqin Arrested

Ms. Zhan Zhongfeng and Ms. Zhan Zhongqin were arrested on April 25, 2018, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on their trip to Huangshan Mountain.

15. [Tianjin] Elderly Ms. Du and Other Practitioners Detained

Ms. Du and other practitioners from the Chenyang Residential Community in the Chenyangdao area of the Hedong District were arrested on April 24, 2018. Their homes were ransacked and they were taken to the Hedong District Detention Center.

Ms. Wu Congmei, 70, was arrested at her home on April 24, 2018.

17. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Ding Mingqiong, Ms. Zhao Xiantang, Mr. Yang Bin, Mr. Li Yonghong, and Ms. Xiang Mingwei were arrested by officers from the Shiling Police Station in Longquan Town on April 16, 2018. They were taken to the Longquanyi District Detention Center.

18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Chunxiang Detained

Ms. Yu Chunxiang was arrested by officers from the Zhanbei Plaza Police Station and Xigang Police Department on April 24, 2018, while she was talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Yu was taken to the Ganjingzi District Drug Rehabilitation Center for 15 days of detention.

Ms. Bao Yunong and Ms. Cai Manyi were arrested by Beihujie Police Station officers on April 23, 2018.

20. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Hengde's Health Deteriorating

Mr. Zhu Hengde has been held in the Niuzhuang Detention Center for nearly seven months. His health is deteriorating. Detention center authorities have refused to release him.
