(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners hold events around July 20 each year to mark the day the persecution of the spiritual discipline in China began 19 years ago.

Practitioners in Las Vegas held a rally and candlelight vigil near Chinatown on July 19 to pay their respects to those who were killed in the Chinese communist persecution simply because they refused to give up their belief.

Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto's office informed practitioners on the day of the event that the Senator had co-sponsored Senate Resolution 220, a bipartisan resolution condemning the persecution of Falun Gong in China and calling for the investigation of the Chinese regime’s harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners.
