(Minghui.org) The city of Caguas, in the center of Puerto Rico, recently hosted the Quality of Life Expo. Practitioners introduced Falun Dafa, a traditional Chinese mind-body cultivation practice, at the event. Many people were drawn by the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of this ancient practice.
Visitors to the Quality of Life Expo in Caguas, Puerto Rico stopped at the Falun Dafa booth to learn about this traditional Chinese mind-body cultivation practice.
Most people were pleasantly surprised to hear that following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can make a big difference in one's health and wellbeing. Visitors to the Falun Dafa booth read information about the book Zhuan Falun, the five simple exercises, how schools in many countries have incorporated Falun Dafa into their daily activities, and about the persecution of the practice in China by the Chinese Communist Party. Some asked for an explanation of the persecution while others quietly signed the Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting petition to the United Nations.
Signing the petition calling for an end to the Chinese regime's harvesting organs from prisoners of conscience, the majority of whom are Falun Dafa practitioners.
The Falun Dafa exercises contrasted dramatically with the aerobic dance that was demonstrated on the stage to thundering music. People watched the Falun Dafa demonstration and listened as practitioners explained that Falun Dafa is an “energy practice,” where, through slow, gentle movements, practitioners develop energy and greatly improve their health. Several in the audience signed up for an upcoming introductory class, attracted by this quiet, gentle way to wellness.
A number of health insurance companies were represented at the expo and their salespeople were interested in talking with Falun Dafa practitioners and learning more about the practice. Many of the health insurance agents were intrigued with the Falun Dafa exhibition, discovering for the first time that something other than Tai Chi and Yoga is helping millions of people of all ages around the world improve their health.
