(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

11. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lian Yan Tried
1. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Xiushan, 75, Tried
Ms. Ma Xiushan, 75, was tried by the Pingshan District Court on February 21, 2019.
2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Jin A'na Arrested
Ms. Jin A'na, nearly 80, from the Liaohe Oilfield Bureau, was arrested at her home on the morning of February 27, 2019.
3. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuqing Detained
Ms. Zhao Shuqing and two other practitioners from Fengning County were arrested by officers from the Fengning Domestic Security Division on May 1, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The other two practitioners were released the same day, while Ms. Zhao was released two days later.
Ms. Zhao was arrested again on January 1, 2019, and was taken to the Chengde Detention Center.
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yanqiu and Ms. Deng Huiling Taken to Prison
Ms. Li Yanqiu and Ms. Deng Huiling were taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison on February 19, 2019.
Ms. Li was sentenced to five years in prison by the Taihe District Court late January.

5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Da Qin and Ms. Xiao Qin Arrested
Ms. Da Qin and Ms. Xiao Qin were arrested on the morning of January 17, 2019, when they were distributing Falun Gong materials. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and other personal belongings.
6. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Yahua Taken Into Custody
Ms. Gao Yahua was intercepted by the Harbin Railway police when she showed her ID at Harbin Train Station on the evening of February 22, 2019. She was taken to the police office and searched. Her cell phone and USB flash drive were confiscated. Ms. Gao was transferred to the Hadong Railway Police Station.
Officers from the Jidong County Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Gao's home and ransacked it the following day. They did not find what they were looking for, and Ms. Gao was released that evening.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lu Guifang, 85, Arrested
Ms. Lu Guifang, 85, from the Donghu Residential Community, was arrested by four or five officers from the Donghu Police Department on the afternoon of February 22, 2019. She was taken to the police department, tied to iron chair torture device, and interrogated.
The officers forcibly took her fingerprints before taking her back home.
8. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Qinghua Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Li Qinghua, 49, was arrested on August 15, 2017, for mailing a letter with information about Falun Gong to a former colleague. She was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan on February 21, 2019, by the Haizhu District Court.
9. [Xingtai County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners' Cases Submitted to Court
Ms. Wang Lanni, Ms. Liu Xizhen, and Mr. Liu Guangyu have been held for over five months. Their cases were submitted to the Qiaodong District Court on February 24, 2019, by the Xingtai County Procuratorate.
10. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhang Qinyou Detained
Mr. Zhang Qinyou from Chengguan Town, Fengtai County, Huinan City was arrested on the afternoon of July 26, 2018, while he was giving out informational materials about Falun Gong. He was taken to Beidabei Police Station in Fengtai. The Police ransacked his home and confiscated more informational materials.
Mr. Zhang was transferred to the Fengtai Detention Center the following day. The court planned to try him on November 26, 2018, but the hearing was canceled after local practitioners mailed letters to the relevant government departments.
Mr. Zhang is still being detained.
11. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lian Yan Tried
Ms. Lian Yan was reported to the authorities when she was giving out calendars with information about Falun Gong. Several officers arrested her and her husband the next day. Her husband was released several hours later, while Ms. Lian was taken to Yuelou Detention Center in Zaozhuang City.
Ms. Lian’s case was sent to Rencheng District Court on January 29, 2019, and she was tried on February 22.
