(Minghui.org) Two Falun Gong practitioners who are serving time at Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison were tortured for not renouncing their faith, a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Wang Aihua, a resident of Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, was sentenced to three years for practicing Falun Gong by Tiefeng District Court around July 2018.
She was admitted to prison on November 27, 2018, and the guards forced her to sit on a tiny stool without sleep that whole night. They continued the sitting torture the next day until 11 p.m.
In order to force her to renounce Falun Gong, the inmates stabbed her with needles, beat her, and verbally abused her.
On one occasion, several inmates dragged her to a place hidden from the surveillance camera and doused her with cold water during the freezing winter. Another inmate used a wet mop to drip water onto her head.
When Ms. Wang remained firm in her faith after one month of torture, the inmates were ordered by prison guards to escalate the torture.
Inmate Yuan Tingting slapped Ms. Wang in the face with her shoe on December 28, 2018. Ms. Wang covered her face with her hands, resulting in heavy bruises on her hands for many days.
The inmates threw away Ms. Wang’s winter clothes and shoes. A mug and some food given to her by another practitioner, Ms. Zhao Xiru, were also thrown away.
Ms. Zhao, a resident of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was sentenced to seven years for practicing Falun Gong. She was severely beaten by the inmates for not renouncing her faith on June 29, 2018. She lost her hearing in the right ear after an inmate slapped her in the face.
