(Minghui.org) Because practitioners cultivate among everyday people, many mundane things occur for us to elevate our xinxing. As long as we can view things based on Dafa, nothing is unsolvable and all tribulations can be overcome.
In the winter after the staged Tiananmen self-immolation hoax, three elderly practitioners, a 14-year old, and I went to Beijing to speak out for Dafa. We could not stay at a hotel because the authorities monitored them, so we rented a small house and lived together. I volunteered to do the grocery shopping and prepared our meals. I felt it was my duty since I was the youngest adult. I did not have any resentment about doing so.
After we finished hanging a large banner on an overpass, the other practitioners went home. I stayed behind since I wanted to do more. Four other practitioners joined me at the house a few days later. One of them had a baby. I felt I should do more of the work since I was the oldest. So I again did the shopping and cooking.
I had to walk quite far to buy groceries every day, so I had little time to study the Fa. I also had nothing to study the Fa with, since I lent my tape player to other practitioners and there were not enough books to go around.
About a week later, I felt something choke my neck one night, which made it a bit hard for me to breathe. I did not pay attention to it and fell asleep without thinking much about it. Later, I realized that I must have experienced the placement of the mysterious pass. I wondered, “Why was I able to elevate in cultivation, given that I was busy all day and studied little Fa?” I enlightened to the fact that those who cultivate will gain. Just as Master said, “No loss, no gain” (Chapter Four, Zhuan Falun).
My mother, my sister-in-law, and I cultivate together. My mother lived with my brother’s family. She often had conflicts with my sister-in-law over trivial matters around the house, and they found fault with each other. I believed that only by enlightening with Dafa could they resolve the issue.
One day, I found an excuse and invited my mom over to my house. I suggested that we recite some Fa together. She asked where should we start. “Let’s start from the part about the big monk and small monk.” After we finished, I asked her, “Do you want to be a big monk and let my sister-in-law be the small monk, since you are the eldest in the family?”
She saw my point right away and said, “No, I want to be the small monk. I’ll let your sister-in-law be a big monk.” She left merrily.
The next day, my sister-in-law invited me over. She asked, “Mom seems to have turned into another person after seeing you. She stopped complaining and became nice to me. What did you tell her?”
I told my sister-in-law about our reciting the Fa and the conversation between my mom and me. I said that Mom wanted to be the small monk and wanted my sister-in-law to be the big monk. She also got the point immediately and wanted to be a small monk. She went into the kitchen and fought with mom over who would do the work—to be a small monk. They resolved their conflicts.
As Master said, “… whoever enlightens obtains.” (Chapter Eight, Zhuan Falun)
As practitioners, whoever cultivates and gives will get. The above is my understanding.
